INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing this NYC Acoustics NPB3 Dual 4 30 Watt Bluetooth Boombox Speaker.
One of the greatest cities for music in the world is NYC. Two brothers from the big apple, both aspiring musicians, were inspired by the music scene on the streets of NYC, bars in Brooklyn, and venues like Radio City Music Hall & Madison Square Garden. They knew that in order to make it in the scene they needed to look and sound good. And,  in order to sound good, they needed to have good audio gear. The audio products available on the market were either way too expensive or too cheap and of poor quality. They went on a mission to make affordable products that are of great quality. That’s when NYC Acoustics was launched.

FUNCTIONS

5. Previous track/Volume down Press to go to the previous track while in USB, SD, and Bluetooth mode. Press to go to the previous station while in Radio mode. Press and hold to turn down the volume in any mode.
6. Play-Pause/Power On-Off: Press once to play the desired track, press again to pause. Press and hold to power the unit on/off.
7. Next track/Volume up Press to go to the next track while in USB, SD, and Bluetooth mode. While in Radio mode, press to go to the next station. Press and hold to turn up the volume in any mode.

9. Mode button: use to cycle between Bluetooth, FM radio, USB, SD, and AUX modes. Press and hold to turn the LED on/off.
10. Micro USB Charging Port/ AUX input: Can charge from a USB wall charger or a computer USB port. Also used to connect external sound sources such as MP3 players,  PCs, laptops, and phones. The unit’s LED display will show a flashing battery icon when charging.

BLUETOOTH

To connect your iPod, iPad, iPhone, MP3 player, Android phone or tablet or any other Bluetooth-capable device follow the steps listed below.

1. Make sure the unit is powered ON.
2. Press the mode button until you are in Bluetooth mode. You will hear a tone indicating that the unit is in Bluetooth mode.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your device and ensure that it is “discoverable”. Look for and select “NPB3” from your devices list.
4. Once paired you will hear “paired”.
5. Unit will automatically pair with the last previously paired device. If no device is found within 10 seconds, the unit will enter manual pairing mode.
6. Music playback can be controlled using the Prev (VOL-), Play/Pause, and Next (VOL+) buttons.

MP3 PLAYER
Using the available USB/SD ports you can playback music from a USB flash drive or an SD card.

1. Make sure the unit is powered ON.

2. Insert a USB flash drive or SD card into the corresponding port.
   Music should begin playing automatically.

3. Music playback can be controlled using the Prev (VOL-), Play/Pause, and Next (VOL+) buttons.

RADIO TUNER
This unit comes equipped with an FM radio tuner. To operate the tuner simply follow the steps below.

1. Make sure the unit is powered ON.

2. Make sure to fully extend the antenna located on the rear of the unit.
   It will ensure the best possible radio quality and signal strength.

3. Press the mode button until you are in FM mode.

4. Press and hold the Play button on the remote control auto search and save FM stations.

5. Use the previous and next buttons to navigate radio stations.

AUX INPUT
Connect the NPB3 to external sound sources using the included micro USB to 3.5mm cable. Plug the 3.5mm end to any device with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack such as a smartphone, MP3 player, computer,
laptop, etc. Connect the micro USB end to the NPB3’s micro USB port and press the Mode button to change to AUX mode. Track selection is controlled via the input device.

REMOTE CONTROL

1. Power on/off

2. Mode button: use to cycle between Bluetooth, FM radio, USB, SD, and AUX modes. Press and hold to turn LED on/off.

3. Mute

4. Previous track: Press to go to the previous track while in USB, SD, and Bluetooth mode. Press to go to the previous station while in Radio mode.
   Next track: Press to go to the next track while in USB, SD, and Bluetooth mode. Press to go to the next station while in Radio mode.

5. Play-Pause: Press once to play desired track, press again to pause.
   Press and hold to auto scan and save FM stations.

6. Volume+/-

7. EQ mode. While in USB or SD mode use to cycle between preset curves: EQ0 (pop), EQ1 (r0ck), EO2 (jazz), EQ3 (classical), EQ4 (live), EQ5 (normal).

8. Play the most recently played song.

9. USB/SD selector button.

10. Number Pad: Use to manually select tracks in USB/SD mode or radio stations in FM mode.

WARNING! Using the remote while the unit is close to fluorescent lighting may cause interference. If this occurs please move the unit away from fluorescent lighting.
