Getting to know the buttons & controls

Pairing with different devices
switches your shoX explode on (3).
the LED light (6) will tell you which mode you are in.
if it flashes blue, then you can go ahead with pairing with your device. make
sure your shoX explode and the device are within 1 metre of each other. the
LED will glow blue when your device has connected.
iPhones & iPads
- go to the general menu, then Bluetooth and swipe to the “ON” position
- shoX explode will become discoverable
- tap on “shoX explode” to connect
other cellphones & tablets
- turn your Bluetooth on and search for “shoX explode”
- if you’re prompted for a password, enter “0000”
- check your Bluetooth device list & connect with “shoX explode”
PC or notebooks
- activate your Bluetooth connectivity and “search new device”
- once “shoX explode” has become discoverable, click on it to connect
- if a password is required, enter “0000”
Apple macs
- tum your Bluetooth on and scroll down to “set up Bluetooth device”
- Click on “shoX explode” and continue
- if you’re asked for a password, enter “0000”
- now open system preferences and click “sound”
- click the output tab and select “shoX explode”
- Click the input tab and select “shoX explode”

FM radio
Press and hold the “play/pause” (4) button until the LED slowly flashes blue. Press the “play/pause” button (4) to search FM channels automatically. this will scan all FM stations and save them to memory. the scan will take several minutes to complete and should not be interrupted. once complete, you can press “previous track” (7) or “next track” (8) to move forward or backward. press and hold or to turn down or turn up the volume. plug an AUX cable into the AUX port to use as an aerial.
USB port
play music directly from a USB device by plugging it into the USB port (5). your shoX explode will automatically switch to USB mode. then use the “previous track” (7), “next track” (8), and “play/pause” (4) buttons to control your tracks and volume. supports MP3 and WAV music formats.
micro SD port
play music directly from a micro SD card by plugging it into the micro SD card reader (9). your shoX explode will automatically switch to micro SD mode. then use the “previous track” (7), “next track” (8), and “play/pause” (4) buttons to control your tracks and volume. supports MP3 and WAV music formats.
AUX port
to connect a device (phone, laptop etc) with a 3,5mm jack connection to your shoX explode, connect one end of the 3,5mm jack cord (included) to the AUX port (2) and the other end to your device. press and hold the “play/pause” button until you hear the FM radio come on. Press and hold the “play/pause” button again to switch to AUX mode.

- radio mode: previous channel
long press:
- Bluetooth mode: decrease the volume
- USB/TF Mode: decrease the volume
short press’.
- Bluetooth mode: next track
- USB/TF Mode. next track
- AUX in mode. no function
- radio mode’ next channel
long press.:
- Bluetooth mode: increase the volume
- USB/TF mode: increase the volume
- Aux in mode: increase the volume
- radio mode: increase the volume
short press:
- Bluetooth mode: play/pause
- USB/TF Mode: play/pause
- AUX in mode’ mute
- radio mode: search FM channels automatically.
long press:
- change the Bluetooth mode, AUX-in mode, and FM mode
charging
if you notice your shoX explode is running low on power, then it’s time to
recharge the built-in battery. your shoX explode will take 3 hours to charge
if it is completely flat. plug the small end of the mini USB cable (included)
into the “DC 3.7V charging port”(1) and the other end into a powered-up
computer USB port or a USB adapter (not included). a red light will indicate
that it’s charging. when fully charged, the light will switch off.
