DANGER

• HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
  Disconnect all power from all equipment including connected devices, prior to removing any covers or doors, or installing or removing any accessories, hardware, cables, or wires.

• Always use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm the power is off where and when indicated.

• Before powering the device back up, fit back and fix all the covers, hardware components, and wiring.

• Verify the earthing connections on all earthed devices.

Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
The Dongle BTLE 5.0 AIR is compatible with all Eliwell instruments which have the word AIR written in the description

• Do not disassemble, repair, or modify this equipment.

CONNECTIONS

The ‘Eliwell AIR’ APP can be downloaded from the ‘APP store’ for the iOS operating system (version 10.0 or greater) or from the ‘Play store’ for the Android operating system (version 7.0 or greater).
For information regarding the cables to use with the BTLE 5.0 AIR Dongle, please contact your local Eliwell representative /Update the Eliwell AIR APP to the latest available version.

NOTICE

UNINTENDED EQUIPMENT OPERATION

• Disconnect all the equipment before installing/dismantling cables or wires.
• Position and adequately fix the device to prevent cable disconnection.
• The TTL cable must be routed separately from the power cables.
• Check the length of the TTL cable, referring to the datasheet for the compatible AIR controller.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

NOTICE
UNINTENDED EQUIPMENT OPERATION DUE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE OR DURING INSTALLATION

• Keep the device in the protective packaging until ready for installation.
• When handling sensitive equipment, use an earthed protective device against electrostatic discharge.
• Before handling the device, always discharge the static electricity from the body by touching an earthed surface or type-approved antistatic mat.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

DIMENSIONS

1. TTL Connection towards instruments;
2. Hole for accessing the Password reset button (see ‛Password reset procedure’).
3. Operating LED;
4. Fixing hole. Use screws with a nominal diameter of: 3.9…4.2 mm (0.15…0.17 in.).

CONFIGURING THE MODBUS CONNECTION

The serial parameters will be detected automatically by Dongle BTLE 5.0 AIR.
The valid Modbus communication parameters are listed in the table.
NOTE: Verify that the Modbus address of the device connected is equal to 1

PASSWORD RESET PROCEDURE

To reset the password of the DONGLE BTLE 5.0 AIR, proceed as follows:

• Press the reset button using a blunt plastic object;
• Press and hold the button until the LED is lit steadily (approx. 5 seconds)
• The new password will assume the default value (000000, six zeros)

PAIRING

PAIRING USING ELIWELL AIR APP
Pair a new controller. Access this function in one of two ways:

1. From the Home page, tap +
2. From the menu, tap “Connect a new Device”

A list of available controllers not yet paired with the Eliwell AIR application will be displayed. To pair a controller:

1. Select the controller (tap the name) from the list of available controllers

2. Enter the Bluetooth pairing code in the window that appears.
   Note. “000000” is the factory-set default pairing code for the first access.

3. Wait for the application to launch its preliminary tasks.

4. The controller is now paired and will be shown on the home page.

(1)10’000 data entries can be logged. The circular buffer stores the 10’000 most recent data entries.
NOTE: The acquisition frequency set via APP determines the number of days for which data is logged on the device.
For example, with a data acquisition frequency of 1 minute, the device will log data for 7 days before overwriting the oldest data.

DATA DOWNLOAD

The duration of historical data recorded download from Dongle BTLE 5.0 AIR is proportional to data archive size.
Set properly the data acquisition time interval, including download.
NOTE: Other wireless active devices, in the measurement field, can affect the Bluetooth connection and data downloading time.
