Product introduction
Thank you for using Retekess Paging System, it adopts RF wireless technology. The TD172 guest paging system consists of 1 keyboard transmitter and 20 pagers. Each one keyboard transmitter can pair up to 998 pagers. It is widely used in fast food restaurants, coffee houses, pizza shops, 4S stores, churches and other places where there are many guests waiting for their services. The system improves overall efficiency and service level, reduces labor costs and enhances image.
HOW TO USE THE PAGING SYSTEM?
- Guests come to the restaurant and make an order. The waiter gives each guest a pager; every pager has a number on it (No.1~998).
- When the order is read, the waiter at the counter will press the number on the transmitter. The corresponding guest gets the wireless signal by his pager vibrating or LED flashing or beeping, then he knows order is ready and goes to the counter to take his food.

Operating Instructions

Notes
1.1. All the pagers should be placed in the charging slot before the operation, and be set up after charging for 20 minutes.
1.2. Power on: Place all receivers in the charging slots. After the keyboard transmitter is powered on, the pagers will automatically turn on.
1.3. Power off: Place all the paired pagers in the charging slots. Enter “999” by the keyboard transmitter and then press the [Call] button.
1.4. Enter the setting mode: Press the [Call] button and the [Clear] button at the same time until the transmitter displays [F1], then enter the mode selection interface. At this time, input the corresponding number “1-4” by the keyboard to choose the function settings, and press the [Call] button to enter the setting mode. After setting, press [Clear] to exit the setting mode, and the standby screen will display “—”.
1.4.1. Enter the number “1”: [F1] Keyboard Transmitter ID setting
1.4.2. Enter the number “2”: [F2] Pager ID setting
1.4.3. Enter the number “3”: [F3] prompt mode setting
1.4.4. Enter the number “4”: [F4] prompt duration setting
Operation process: First to set the Keyboard ID [F1], then set the prompt mode [F3], then set prompt duration [F4].
After completing the above settings, finally set the pager ID [F2]. -
【F1】Keyboard Transmitter ID Setting
Enter the setting mode, the current keyboard transmitter ID flashes on the display.Enter the new ID number “001-999” by the keyboard, then press the [Call] button to save.
Note: If there is no special requirement, please do not modify the keyboard transmitter ID. Otherwise, all the pagers need to be repaired to the transmitter.
In addition, do not set the keyboard transmitter ID to “000”. -
【F2】Pager ID Setting
3.1. Firstly, remove all the pagers from the charging slots, then enter the pager ID setting mode 【F2】, the “001” will flashes on the display. Input the new ID number “1-998” by the keyboard. Then put the pager that need to be set into the charging slot, the pager’s indicator light flashes, it means to be set successfully.
Then remove the pager from the charging slot, and set the other pagers in turn, press [Clear] button to exit after all pagers ID settings are completed.
3.2. Do not set “999” as the pager ID, since this ID is the default set to turn off all of the pagers.
3.3. To modify the pager ID, just set a new ID, it will automatically overwrite the old one. -
【F3】Prompt Mode Setting
Enter the prompt mode setting 【F3】, the default screen flashes “001”, enter number “0 (buzzer beep off)/1 (buzzer beep on)” from the keyboard, press the [Call] button to save. -
【F4】Prompt duration setting
Enter the prompt duration setting mode, the default screen flashes “001”,then enter the number “1-999” from the keyboard, press the [Call] button to save. The unit is seconds.

Local Government Regulations
When radios are used as a consequence of employment, the Local Government
Regulations requires users to be fully aware of and able to control their
exposure to meet occupational requirements. Exposure awareness can be
facilitated by the use of a product label directing users to specific user
awareness information. Your Retekess radio has a RF Exposure Product Label.
Also, your Retekess user manual, or separate safety booklet includes
information and operating instructions required to control your RF exposure
and to satisfy compliance requirements.
Radio License (if appropriate)
Governments keep the radios in classification, business radios operate on
radio frequencies that are regulated by the local radio management departments
(FCC, ISED, OFCOM, ANFR, BFTK, Bundesnetzagentur…).To transmit on these
frequencies, you are required to have a license issued by them. The detailed
classification and the use of your radios, please contact the local government
radio management departments.
Use of this radio outside the country where it was intended to be distributed
is subject to government regulations and may be prohibited.
Unauthorized modification and adjustment
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance may void the user’s authority granted by the local government radio
management departments to operate this radio and should not be made. To comply
with the corresponding requirements, transmitter adjustments should be made
only by or under the supervision of a person certified as technically
qualified to perform transmitter maintenance and repairs in the private land
mobile and fixed services as certified by an organization representative of
the user of those services. Replacement of any transmitter component (crystal,
semiconductor, etc.) not authorized by the local government radio management
departments equipment authorization for this radio could violate the rules.

RF Exposure Information
- DO NOT operate the radio without a proper antenna attached, as this may damage the radio and may also cause you to exceed RF exposure limits. A proper antenna is the antenna supplied with this radio by the manufacturer or an antenna specifically authorized by the manufacturer for use with this radio, and the antenna gain shall not exceed the specified gain by the manufacturer declared.

Precautions
Protect your hearing:
- Use the lowest volume necessary to do your job.
- Turn up the volume only if you are in noisy surroundings.
- Turn down the volume before adding headset or earpiece.
- Limit the amount of time you use headsets or earpieces at high volume.
- When using the radio without a headset or earpiece, do not place the radio’s speaker directly against your ear
- Use careful with the earphone maybe possible excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
Note: Exposure to loud noises from any source for extended periods of time may temporarily or permanently affect your hearing. The louder the radio’s volume, the less time is required before your hearing could be affected. Hearing damage from loud noise is sometimes undetectable at first and can have a cumulative effect.

Safety Operation

- Do not use charger outdoors or in moist environments, use only in dry locations/ conditions.
- Do not disassemble the charger, that may result in risk of electrical shock or fire.
- Do not operate the charger if it has been broken or damaged in any way.
- Do not place a portable radio in the area over an air bag or in the air bag deployment area. The radio may be propelled with great force and cause serious injury to occupants of the vehicle when the air bag inflates. To reduce risk
- Pull by the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting the charger.
- Unplug the charger from the AC outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
