POWER SUPPLY
This radio uses two 1.5V AA batteries, please follow these procedures:
- Press down and open the battery compartment door (10).
- Put in two 1.5V AA batteries. Make sure the polarities are correct.
- Close the battery compartment door.
WARNING
- Do not combine old and new batteries or batteries of different types.
- Do not charge or heat the batteries or they might leak or explode.
- Dead batteries should be properly recycled, according to local laws and regulations.
WARNING
- Turn the Volume & power on/off knob (5) to make the unit switch on.
- Set the band with band switch (1).
- Turn to the station with a tuning knob (2).
- Adjust the volume control knob (5) to your desired level.
ANTENNA OPERATION
- When listening to FM, please pull out the antenna (8) to obtain the best effect.
- When listening to SW, please pull out and keep the antenna in a vertical position to obtain the best reception.
- When you are listening to AM, the radio is using its internal magnetic antenna. You can get optimal reception by changing the direction of the radio.
ANTENNA OPERATION
- Please place the radio in a well-ventilated area and keep it out of high temperature. Clean the surface with a soft cloth without using any alcohol, lubricant, or volatile liquid.
- If you do not use the unit for a long time, please remove the batteries to avoid damaging internal components.
- Avoid exposing the unit to rain or moisture. Keep away from the fish tank, washing box, swimming pool, etc.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, including heat pipes, heaters, or other appliances that generate heat.
- Place the unit in a flat place to use.
- This is a precision unit. Avoid sun, rain, or dampness. Do not drop. Do not disassemble, repair, or alter this radio.

qualified to perform transmitter maintenance and repairs in the private land
mobile and fixed services as certified by an organization representative of
the user of those services.
Replacement of any transmitter component (crystal, semiconductor, etc.) not
authorized by the local government radio management departments equipment

- When using the radio without a headset or earpiece, do not place the radio’s speaker directly against your ear
- Use careful with the earphone may be possible excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss
Note: Exposure to loud noises from any source for extended periods of time may temporarily or permanently affect your hearing. The louder the radio’s volume, the less time is required before your hearing could be affected. Hearing damage from loud noise is sometimes undetectable at first and can have a cumulative effect.
