IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • When using your appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
  • Read all instructions before using this product. This product has been designed for domestic and indoor use only. Any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the warranty will not apply.
  • WARNING ! The voltage of your electrical outlet must correspond to that of the appliance (120V). Connecting to the wrong voltage may cause irreversible damage to the steamer and will void the warranty.
  • Use appliance for its intended use only.
  • To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from steam vents, check appliance before each use by holding it away from body and operating steam button.
  • Never pull on the cord to disconnect the appliance from electrical outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect the appliance.
  • Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let appliance cool completely down before putting away. Loop cord loosely around appliance when storing.
  • Always disconnect appliance from electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying, and when not in use.
  • Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or if appliance has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the appliance. Take it to the nearest authorized approved service center for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly or repair could cause a risk of !re, electrical shock or injury to persons when the appliance is used.
  • Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.
  • Do not leave appliance un-attended while plugged in or while it is still hot.
  • Burns could occur from touching hot metal or plastic parts, hot water or steam.
  • Care should be taken when using the appliance due to emission of steam.
  • Completely extend at the maximum the pole before using.
  • Always used the appliance with the steam hose in a vertical position.
  • Use care when you empty a steam appliance. There may be hot water in the reservoir.
  • To reduce the likelihood of circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit.
  • If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with a 15A ampere rating should be used. A cord rated with less amperage can result in a risk of !re or electric shock due to overheating. Use caution when placing the cord, so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
  • To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Do not direct steam at people, animals or clothes while they are being worn.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • The use of other accessory attachments than those provided by the manufacturer is not recommended and may result in !re, electric shock or personnal injury.
  • The appliance must not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
  • Check the electrical cord for sign and ware or damage prior to use. If the electrical cord is damaged, it must be replaced at an approved service center to avoid any danger.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will !t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not !t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not !t, contact a quali!ed electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. ASSEMBLY

Rowenta IS34 Garment Steamer with Curtain-2

  • Insert the pole in the housing untill you hear a “click”.
  • Open the three pole locks.
  • Extend the pole fully.
  • Close the three locks.

  • Fully insert the hanger / holder vertically on top of the pole and lock it.
  • Position the steam head on its craddle.
  • Insert the steam hose , and lock it, by screwing until hearing a “click”.
  • Add the vertical support and the hanger.

  • Unwind the support and !x it, by adjusting the tension with the dedicated hook and screw.

  • Remove the water tank.

  • Remove the cap then !ll in the water tank.

  • Fully screw the water tank cap and insert tank back in appliance.

  • Add the garment of your choice on the hanger or a separated hanger.

ACCESSORIES

Accessories must be settled when appliance is cold and not running.

  • The fabric brush* opens the weaves of the fabrics for better steam penetration.

USE

Rowenta IS34 Garment Steamer with Curtain-7

  • The appliance must remain in a horizontal position on the floor.

  • Plug in the appliance.

  • Turn the On/Off Button, in order to switch on the appliance. Then, adjust steam output by turning the button.

  • After 45 seconds approximately, steam will come out.

  • For optimal use, pass the steam jets on your garment from top to bottom.

  • Never steam directly on people.

AFTER USE

  • Turn the on/off button to the “OFF” positioning, in order to switch o” the appliance.

  • Unplug the appliance.

  • Remove the water tank.

  • Unscrew the cap and then empty the water tank completely in a sink.

  • Screw back the cap and place the water tank back to its appliance.

  • Roll up the power cord and place it on its hook.

  • Wait for an hour for your appliance to cool before storing.

DESCALING PROCEDURE

  • WARNING! Wait an hour or until the appliance is completely cooled down.

  • Remove the steam head from the cradle, unlock & collapse the pole

  • Remove the water tank.

  • Fill .5L(Liter) of water in the appliance water tank.

  • Gently shake the base of the product to remove particles.

  • Place the appliance over a sink & unscrew the «Anti calc» cap by turning it anti clockwise.

  • Vertically tilt the appliance to empty mix in a sink.

  • Put the anticalc cap back and fully screw it to prevent leaking*.

  • Unlock the pole , extend, lock.

  • Position the steam head on its craddle.

  • Remove the cap then !ll in the water tank.

  • Fully screw the water tank cap and insert tank back in appliance.

  • Plug in t EN he appliance and switch on.

  • Let the appliance run until water tank is emptied completely.

CLEANING

  • Wait an hour for complete cool down

  • Only use a sponge with water to clean the base.

  • Only use a sponge with water to clean the steam head.

  • Never use detergents when cleaning your appliance.

  • Never wash or rinse appliance directly over a sink.

  • Never wash or rinse the steam head directly over a sink.
