Setup

Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.

Towing Vehicle Installation
  1. Before installing, check the battery power of each light by pressing the Power button. If less than two indicator lights turn on, charge each light fully before operation. A full charge will take 11 hours.

  2. To help avoid scratches, clean the mounting locations and make sure the magnetic bases are free of debris before mounting.

  3. Set the lights on the back of the vehicle being towed so that the red side of each light faces backward.

  4. Each light is clearly marked with ‘Driver’ and ‘Passenger,’ indicating the side of the tow vehicle where they should be placed. Mount lights according to these markings.

  5. Mount the tow lights high, whenever possible. Try to maintain a distance of 6 to 8 feet between the two tow lights. Choose a location that offers complete visibility to ALL following vehicles at ALL times.
Note: Check your state’s regulations on tail light spacing.

  6. CAUTION! Have an assistant operate the vehicle’s lights while you carefully check that the vehicle lights and the towing lights all work properly.

  7. The tow lights should both light when the towing vehicle’s running lights are switched on.

  8. The tow lights should both light brightly as you apply the brake.

  9. The tow lights should flash brightly for left turn and right turn, AND match tow vehicle flashing with respect to driver side or passenger side.

If ANY function of the vehicle lights or towing lights does not work, do not drive the towing vehicle until all lights are repaired and retested successfully.

Charging

  1. Insert the end of the Charging Cable into the charge port underneath each light.
  2. Plug another end of the Charging Cable into the USB port of the Charger.
  3. Plug Charger into a 2A electrical outlet.
  4. To charge the lights while inside your vehicle, connect Charging Cable to the Cigarette Plug Charger.
  5. Connect Cigarette Plug Charger to the vehicle’s cigarette plug, if provided.

Operation

Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.

WARNING: TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH FROM DRIVING HAZARDS: Park on level area away from traffic and set vehicle parking brake/chock tires. Test operation of all lights before every use. Operating Instructions
  1. Connect Transmitter to the four-pin or seven-pin towing light connector on the tow vehicle.
WARNING: Make sure the Transmitter is secured to the body or chassis of the tow vehicle and is not hanging anywhere near the road surface.

  2. Press the Power button at the top of each light TWICE to turn on. Each light will flash briefly when turned on.

  3. The Towing Light Kit is now ready for use. It will automatically illuminate when running lamps, brake pedal or turn signals in the towing vehicle are used.

  4. Test each vehicle function before towing, making sure that tow
    lights respond properly.

  5. After towing, disconnect Transmitter, remove tow lights from towed vehicle, clean with a moist cloth, and store in dry location out of reach of children. Do not drag the magnetic bases to disconnect, as they may scratch the body paint. Push to tilt then remove.

  1. Using a hammer (sold separately), break the light open from the side, where the lens and housing are welded together.
  2. Remove the lens.
