SAFETY AND GENERAL INFORMATION
RF Exposure and Product Safety Instructions for Portable Two-Way Radios General Populated and Uncontrolled Environments.
ATTENTION:
Before using this radio, refer to the important operating instructions
for safe usage and RF energy awareness and control for compliance with
applicable Standards and Regulations.
Compliance with RF Exposure Standards
Your Two-Way radio complies with the following RF energy exposure standard and
guidelines:
- United States Federal Communications Commission, Code of Federal Regulations; 47 CFR et seq. & FCC.
- Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) C95.1.
- Ministry of Health (Canada) Safety Code 6 & Industry Canada RSS-102.
Transmit and Receive Procedure
Your two-way radio contains a transmitter and a receiver. To control your
exposure and ensure compliance with the general population /uncontrolled
environment exposure limits, always adhere to the following procedure:

Transmit no more than 50% of the time.

To receive calls, release the PTT button.

To transmit (talk), press the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button in front of the face.

Hold the radio in a vertical position with the microphone (and other parts of the radio including the antenna) at least one inch (2.5 centimeters) away from the nose or lips. Keeping the radio at a proper distance is important to ensure compliance.
Note: RF exposure decreases with increasing distance from the antenna. -
Body Worn Operation. When worn on the body, always place the radio in an approved clip for this product.
Two-way Radio Operation
- Use only approved supplied or replacement antennas and audio accessories.
WARNING: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

ISEDC Radiation Exposure Statement:
For face-up operation, this model device has been tested and meets the ISED RF
exposure guidelines when used with an accessory designated for this product or
when used with an accessory that contains no metal and that positions the
handset a minimum of 25mm from the face.
For body-worn operation, this model device has been tested and meets the ISED
RF exposure guidelines when used with an accessory designated for this product
or when used with an accessory that contains no metal.

CONTROL BUTTONS
- Standby state Green Slow Flash
- Transmit (TX) Solid Red
- Receive (RX) Solid Green
- Programming Model (Read from Radio) Red Fast Flash
- Programming Mode (Write to Radio) Red Fast Flash
VIEW SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER
- The intercom and the computer are connected by a data cable.
- Open the GPS software on the computer, select the correct port, and click “Online”.
- After successful connection, in the parameter setting interface, you can view the current software version number, such as V001.11.
TURN ON / OFF THE RADIO
- In shutdown mode, press and hold the front switch of the body for 2 seconds to turn on and broadcast “power on”.
- In pairing mode or connection mode, press and hold the switch for 5 seconds to turn off and broadcast “power off”.
VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
- Press the [+] key, a volume increase plus.
- Short press the [-] key to decrease the volume.
CHANNEL ADJUSTMENT
- Short press the [MENU] key once, the intercom enters the Channel Menu.
- Short press [+] key to switch channel up; short press [-] key to switch channel down.
- If 3s is not operated or press PTT, it will automatically exit the Channel Menu.
ACTIVATING MODE
- Press two times [MENU] key, enter intercom Private Menu .
- Short press [+] key to turn on subtone ; short press [-] key to turn off subtone.
- If 3s is not operated or press PTT, it will automatically exit Private Menu
Note: This function needs to be on the channel with preset subtone code.
SCAN FUNCTION
- Short press the [MENU] key three times to enter SCAN Mode.
- Press the [+] key to turn SCAN function, and voice prompts “SCAN ON”; press [-] key to exit the SCAN function, and voice prompts “SCAN OFF”.
- When the signal is scanned and stays, press the [+] key again to continue scanning.
- If 3s is not operated or press PTT, it will automatically exit Scan Mode.
MONITORING MODE
- Press four times [MENU] key, enter Monitor Mode.
- Press the [+] key to turn on the Monitor function, and press the [-] key to exit the Monitor function.
- If 3s is not operated or press PTT, it will automatically exit Monitor Mode.
CHANNEL AND POWER INQUIRY
Press and hold the [MENU] key in standby mode, the intercom will play the current channel number and the power level.
TRANSMIT & RECEIVE
- Hold down the PTT button, keep a distance of 5 to 8 cm from the microphone, and talk at a normal speaking rate. When the indicator light of the intercom is red, it means that it is already in the transmitting state. Release the PTT button to end the transmission, and the signal light is off.
- Machine A and machine B are in the standby state, machine A transmits, machine B receives, when machine B’s signal light is green, machine B is in the receiving state, and can normally receive machine A’s voice. A machine releases the PTT button, B machine receiving is completed, the indicator light turns off.
- Insert the headset, press the PTT button of the headset to transmit the signal, the receiver can receive it normally.
- insert the earphone and receive the signal through the earphone. When the transmitter transmits, it can be received through the earphone of the receiver.
TOT FUNCTION
The TOT function is a timeout prohibition function. When your continuous transmission time reaches the set time, a reminder tone will be issued. The TOT timeout time can be set in the CPS. The TOT time range is 30 seconds to 300 seconds. TOT can also be turned off, there will be no time limit for the launch.
LOW BATTERY ALERT AND BATTERY CHARGING
- When the battery voltage is lower than 3. 25 V, there will be a low battery warning sound, and it will sound once every 5 minutes to remind that it is time to charge. After releasing the PTT at the end of each transmission, a low battery warning tone will also sound. When the battery voltage is lower than 3.1V, the radio will automatically shut down.
- The USB can be used for charging, the charging process the red charging indicator lit full turns green light.
- Charging is possible when the machine is turned on or off.
