Limited Warranty

This product is warranted by CARSON against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 24 months from the date of purchase from authorised franchisees and dealers. In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, return the product along with your receipt as proof of purchase to any CARSON store.
CARSON will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law:

  1. Correct the defect by repairing the product without charging for parts and labour;
  2. Replace the product with one of the same or similar design.

All replacement parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of CARSON. New or recon-ditioned parts and products may be used in the performance of warranty services. Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period. Specifications or designs of the actual product may vary from those shown in this manual or on the box.The manual forms part of this product. Should you ignore the operating and safety instructions, the warranty will be void.

The Warranty does not cover

  • Damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, lightning or other incidence of excess voltage or current;

  • Any repairs other than those provided by a CARSON authorised service facility;
  • Consumables such as fuses or batteries;
  • Cosmetic damage;
  • Transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or
  • Costs of product removal, installation, set-up service adjust-ment or reinstallation;
  • Any changes to plugs and cables, open the housing and damage the sticker.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary according to the country of purchase.

MOUNTING THE WARNING LIGHT BAR

LIGHT MODULE

The light module has 4 outputs (max. 500 mA per output), and there are 10 different configuration options to choose from. With a 3-way toggle switch or 2/3-way switch (on-off-on), two settings can be programmed and toggled via the remote control.

CONNECTING THE MODULE

The module features a 3-wire servo connection cable and has the following connections: Orange – Impulse/signal, Red – positive. Brown – negative.
Connect the module directly to a free channel on the receiver.

The board is activated by switching on the RC receiver power supply (BEC) and detects the zero position of the switch each time the system is switched on. The LEDs on the output will switch on at half brightness. The button/switch should be in the “off” position during this time, otherwise malfunctions may occur. The module is ready for use as soon as the LEDs have switched off. The programs can be enabled/disabled with one press of the button/switch By default, the module is configured as follows:

  • Program1: Strobe light effect A
  • Program2: Strobe light effect B

PROGRAMMING THE MODULE

The assignment of the settings A…J can be freely selected for both programs.

  • Step 1: Enable program 1 by pushing the switch upwards.

  • Step 2: Push the switch/button upwards again and hold it in place for at least 7 seconds.
    If some of the LEDs flash, this indicates that the next setting was selected.

  • Step 3: Repeat step 2 until the desired setting is reached.

  • Step 4: Once you have selected the desired setting, push/hold the switch down for at least 10 seconds to save the “Program – setting” assignment. The LEDs will flash to indicate that the settings were successfully saved.

  • Step 1: Enable program 2 by pushing the switch downwards.

  • Step 2: Push the switch/button upwards and hold it in place for at least 7 seconds.
    If some of the LEDs flash, this indicates that the next setting was selected.

  • Step 3: Repeat step 2 until the desired setting is reached.

  • Step 4: Once you have selected the desired setting, push/hold the switch down for at least 10 seconds to save the “Program – setting” assignment. The LEDs will flash to indicate that the settings were successfully saved.
