We congratulate you for buying this CARSON product, which is designed and
manufactured using state-of-the-art technology. According to our policy of
continuous development and product improvement, we reserve the right to make
changes in specifications regarding equipment, material, and design at any

those shown in this manual or on the box. The manual forms part of this
product. Should you ignore the operating and safety instructions, the warranty
will be void. Keep this guide for future reference.
Limited Warranty
This product is warranted by CARSON against manufacturing defects in materials
and workmanship under normal use for 24 months from the date of purchase from
authorized franchisees and dealers. In the event of a product defect during
the warranty period, return the product along with your receipt as proof of
purchase to any CARSON store.
CARSON will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law:
(a) Correct the defect by repairing the product without charging for parts and
labor; (b) Replace the product with one of the same or similar design. All
replacement parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become
the property of CARSON. New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in
the performance of warranty services. Repaired or replaced parts and products
are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be
charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of
the warranty period.
The Warranty does not cover
- Damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, lightning or another incidence of excess voltage or current;
- Damage caused by losing control of your model;
- Any repairs other than those provided by a CARSON authorised service facility;
- Consumables such as fuses or batteries;
- Cosmetic damage;
- Transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or
- Costs of product removal, installation, set-up service adjustment or reinstallation;
- Any changes to plugs and cables, open the housing and damage the sticker.
- This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary according to the country of purchase.
The explanation of the symbol on the product, packaging or instructions: Electronic devices are valuable products and should not be disposed of with the household waste when they reach the end of their service life! INSTALLATION
- place the vehicle on the start box.
- the engine’s flywheel must be positioned exactly above the start box’s flywheel.
- adjust the start box’s rear support – can also be rotated by 180°
- fasten the centering pin in such a way that the vehicle has a secure hold
- mount the front centering pin
- find a suitable place on the vehicle (in most cases the front control arms are suitable for this.
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
Fix and secure the batteries using the slotted hole:
IMPORTANT/ATTENTION!!
Please be informed, that when using rechargeable lithium batteries (Li-Po), please ensure the Startbox for Nitro Glow engines does not have lithium Undervoltage protection. In the event of deep discharge, we do not accept any liability for a defective battery. We recommend a „Lipo Alarm“ this is sold separately (it´s not included), please contact your dealer.
POWER SUPPLY
Stromversorgung
- 2 x 7.2V NiMh
- 2 x 7.4 V LiPo
- Connect the batteries with the two T-plug connectors.
- Press the rear holder plate downwards. The motor (flywheel) should now turn.
- If the direction of rotation does not correspond to your vehicle,
- you can reverse the polarity of the start box’s motor.
- To do this, open the 4 screws marked and remove the engine.
- Then swap the motor cables.
Tip
- The flywheel should always be warmed up before the vehicle is pressed onto it.
- This “momentum” means the start box will not be as strained as much.
- For new engines or engines with high compression, the glow plug should be removed and run through empty before starting for the first time.
STARTING THE VEHICLE
- Place the start box on a flat, stable surface
- Place the vehicle securely using the centering pins
- Place glow plug connector on the engine
- Press the vehicle onto the start box
- Engine starts – remove the glow plug connector after a few seconds.
- Remove the physical protection to activate the start box – „Startbox ON“
- Integrate the physical protection again start box is not used – „Startbox OFF
Tip
- The start box does not turn the engine – open the glow plug half a turn.
- After starting the engine, screw the glow plug firmly back in.
WARNING: Risk of injury – activate rocker switch only via the vehicle!
