OPERATING YOUR DEVICE
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow the device to charge 4-6 hours before using it.
HOW TO CHARGE THE VOICE RECORDER
- Plug the Micro USB cable into the Micro USB port on the device (figure B) and the other end into a wall charger or your computer.
- The battery indicator lights will be flashing red while charging.
- The battery indicator lights will all be solid red when done charging.
HOW TO CHECK THE REMAINING BATTERY LIFE
- Press the power bank button (figure C) so the battery indicator lights turn on.
- There are four battery light LEDs and each one represents a 25% charge. If there is no light the device has under 25% battery power and needs to be charged.
HOW TO RECORD CONTINUOUS AUDIO
- Turn the notch in the voice recording switch towards the – indentation on the device.
- The recording indicator light (figure F) will turn on solid red for 5 seconds then go out.
- The device is now recording audio continuously.
- To stop recording and save anything being currently recorded, move the notch in the voice recording switch back towards the middle.
HOW TO RECORD USING VOICE ACTIVATION MODE
- Turn the notch on the voice recording switch towards the . . indentation on the device.
- The recording indicator light will turn on solid red for 5 seconds then go out.
- The device is now recording audio based off voice activation.
- To stop recording and save anything being currently recorded, move the notch in the voice recording switch back towards the middle.
SETTING THE TIME AND DATE ON THE AUDIO FILES

Make sure the notch on the voice recording switch is in the middle position.

Use the included Micro USB cable to plug the device into your computer.

Open the “Removable Disk” inside the (My) Computer folder.
Go to Start > This PC > Removable Disk -
Double-click the “Time Setup V3.1” file saved in the Removable Disk.

The “date_time.cfg Creator” should open. Click the “Start” button in the popup window.
The program should draw the current date and time as displayed on your computer. -
Unplug the device from your computer and run a test recording to confirm the date and time were set successfully.
RETRIEVE THE FILES TO YOUR PC
- Make sure the notch on the voice recording switch is in the middle position.
- Use the included Micro USB cable to plug the device into your computer.
- When AutoPlay asks what you would like to do, choose ‘Open folder to view files’
Or, if AutoPlay does not pop up…
Go to Start > This PC > Removable Disk
- Open the Removable Disk drive.
- Open the voice folder.
- Double click the audio file you want to play.
COPYING AND DELETING YOUR FILES
The audio files created are just like any other file on your computer, and can
be managed in the exact same manner.
- To save a file, you want to select the file, right click your mouse on the file name, and then choose “Copy” from the menu. Next, go the location you want the save the file to. Right click your mouse, and then chose “Paste.” This will copy the file to your computer.
- To delete a file, right click your mouse on the file name and choose “Delete” from the menu. You can quickly select all of the files by pressing “CTRL+A” on your keyboard.
- If you are using MAC OS X, you must empty the trashcan after you delete a file. If this is not done, the SD card will fill with hidden files, and the device will no longer record new files.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- THE DEVICE WON’T TURN ON
- Charge the device for at least 4 hours before the first use.
- Make sure the device is securely connected to the charging source.
- MY COMPUTER DOESN’T RECOGNIZE THE DEVICE
- Unplug the device from your PC and reboot the device.
- Try using a different USB slot on your PC.
- Keep the device plugged in and restart your PC.
