Installation Requirements

The receiver must be installed by a licensed electrician.
-
All wiring and installation of this product must adhere to latest local and national wiring rules.
eg. AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations in Australia. -
NOTE: A double pole wall switch must be included in the wiring installation. The double pole switch allows the receiver to disconnect from the mains 240VAC power during maintenance and cleaning of the ceiling fan.

NOTE: Do not install the receiver with an existing fan wall controller. Remove any existing fan wall controller and replace with a double pole wall switch, to power the receiver.

Do not exceed rated power input specification.

Select a suitable location for installation:
– This product is suitable for indoor use only.
– The receiver must be installed in the canopy of the ceiling fan. -
NOTE: This ceiling fan remote controller is only suitable for controlling the ceiling fan motor and the light kit associated with the ceiling fan only. Any other use would be considered as misuse and warranty will be void.

NOTE: The controller wiring circuit must NOT be shared with any electrical equipment that is sensitive to voltage fluctuation, such as infrared sensor lights.

DO NOT use the wiring of the controller, other than for the purpose of supplying power into the controller and connections to the equipment that is under control. Any outside wiring connections which are not part of the controller/controlled circuit, may affect the operation of the controller and will void warranty.

This remote control is only suitable where the receiver can be inserted inside the canopy cover safely and securely.

The maximum ceiling pitch angle should not be exceeded. It will damage the receiver and result in electric shock. Please check with the retailer about the maximum pitch angle suitable for ceiling fan with remote control.

Do not use a solid state dimmer with this ceiling fan receiver.

Fan installation must be complete including assembly of blades before operating the remote control.

Take care not to pull any electrical wires during unpacking as this may damage the connection.

Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and make sure there are no components missing before assembling.

If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.
Installation Instructions
- Check whether the product has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.
- Remove all packaging material from the product and be careful not to throw away accessories that may be hidden within the packaging material.
Parts
This touch remote controller set is designed to control your ceiling fan speed
and light. Please see the REMOTE CONTROL BUTTONS section for more
information and operation of the buttons.
NOTE: Before the installation of the receiver, determine which type of
ceiling fan you have.
Type 1 – Earth wire is separate from the ceiling fan quick connector. The
additional adaptor loom (Fig. 3) is NOT required for installation. Refer to
page 3 & Fig. 4 for installation instructions.
Type 2 – Earth wire is incorporated with the ceiling fan quick connector.
The additional adaptor loom (Fig.3) is required for installation. Refer to
page 4 & Fig. 5 for installation instructions.
Installation for Type 1 fans – Earth wire is separate from the ceiling fan quick connector (Fig. 4)

Switch OFF the mains power before installation.
-
Uninstall the canopy of the ceiling fan from the bracket.
-
Unplug the quick connector between the bracket (1) and the ceiling fan body (4).
-
Connect the quick connector from the bracket (1) to the remote receiver input (2).
-
Connect the remote receiver output (3) to ceiling fan body connector (4).
-
Carefully insert the remote receiver above the hanger ball in the remainder spacing in the mounting bracket.
Take care not to damage or loosen any of the wiring. -
Install the canopy of the ceiling fan back on to the bracket.
Installation for Type 2 fans – Earth wire is incorporated with the ceiling fan quick connector (Fig. 5)

Switch OFF the mains power before installation.
-
Uninstall the canopy of the ceiling fan from the bracket.
-
Unplug the quick connector between the bracket (1) and the ceiling fan body (6).
-
Connect the quick connector from the bracket (1) to the remote receiver input (2).
-
Connect the remote receiver output (3) to the male end of the additional adaptor loom (4).
-
Connect the female end of the additional adaptor loom (5) to the ceiling fan body connector (6)
-
Install the earthing wire from the additional adaptor loom to the earthing point onto the bracket of the ceiling fan.
Ensure the star washer is installed so there is full earth continuity. -
Ensure the earth wiring is secure and correct, by performing an earthing continuity test from the fan’s accessible metal body back to the earth terminal at the terminal block on the mounting bracket.

Carefully insert the remote receiver above the hanger ball in the remainder spacing in the mounting bracket. Take care not to damage or loosen any of the wiring.

Install the canopy of the ceiling fan back on to the bracket.
INSTALLATION OF THE REMOTE CONTROL HOLDER (Fig.6)
- Locate a suitable wall to fix the remote control holder with the 2 screws. (Fig.5a).
- Slide the remote into the holder. (Fig. 5b)
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1 pcs 3V CR2450 battery is required to operate the remote control.

For first time use of the remote, remove the battery film before use. (Fig. 7a)
-
To replace a new battery, loosen the screw from the battery compartment cover (Fig. 7b).
Note: Screw do not come apart from the cover. Do not force the screw and cover apart. -
Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of the remote to access the battery (Fig. 7c)
Install the 3V CR2450 DC battery into the remote. Please make sure the
polarity of the battery is correct. (Fig. 8)
Install the battery compartment cover back onto the remote and secure by re tightening the screw.
PAIRING REMOTE & RECEIVER
NOTE: The remote and receiver will need to be paired after the
installation of the ceiling fan.
NOTE: When two or more ceiling fans are installed in one location, please
refer to the instruction on the next page.
PAIRING REMOTE & RECEIVER – WHEN 1 CEILING FAN IS INSTALLED IN ONE
LOCATION
NOTE: Ensure that you have installed a single pole disconnection switch
in the fixed wiring for the fan.
NOTE: Ensure power to the receiver is ON prior to pairing the remote with
the receiver.
- Turn OFF the mains supply to the fan by on/off wall switch.
- Install the battery into the remote. Please make sure the polarity of the battery is correct. (Fig.8)
- Turn ON the power to the receiver.
- Within 60 seconds of switching the power ON to the receiver of the ceiling fan;
- Press and hold the “ ” light button and “ ” 8 hours timer button on the remote at the same time for 5 seconds and then release. During the process, the indicator light will flash slowly.
- Turn ON the fan and change the speed of the ceiling fan via the remote to check the operation and successful paring.
- If pairing has been unsuccessful, repeat these set of steps again.
PAIRING REMOTE & RECEIVER – WHEN 2 OR MORE CEILING FANS ARE INSTALLED IN
ONE LOCATION
When two or more fans are located near each other, you may want to have the remote/receiver for each fan set to a different code, so that the operation of one fan does not affect the operation of the other fan/s.
NOTE: Ensure that you have installed a single pole disconnection switch
in the fixed wiring for each fan.
NOTE: Ensure power to the receiver is ON prior to pairing the remote with
the receiver.
Remote / Receiver pairing for Ceiling fan 1:
- Turn OFF the mains supply to the receivers of both ceiling fans 1 and 2.
- Install the battery into the remote. Please make sure the polarity of the battery is correct. (Fig.8)
- Turn on the power to receiver 1. Keep the power OFF to receiver 2. (Each ceiling fan must have its own isolation switch, so that only the ceiling fan that needs to be paired with the remote will be ON).
- Press and hold the “ ” light button and “ ” 8 hours timer button on the remote at the same time for 5 seconds and then release. During the process, the indicator light will flash slowly.
- Turn ON and change the speed of ceiling fan 1 by the remote to check the operation and successful paring.
- If pairing has been unsuccessful, repeat these set of steps again.
Remote / Receiver paring for Ceiling fan 2:
- Turn off the mains supply to the receivers of both ceiling fans 1 and 2.
- Install the battery into the remote. Please make sure the polarity of the battery is correct. (Fig.8)
- Turn on the power to receiver 2. Keep the power OFF to receiver 1. (Each ceiling fan must have its own isolation switch, so that only the ceiling fan that needs to be paired with the remote will be ON).
- Press and hold the “ ” light button and “ ” 8 hours timer button on the remote at the same time for 5 seconds and then release. During the process, the indicator light will flash slowly.
- Turn ON and change the speed of ceiling fan 2 by the remote to check the operation and successful pairing.
• If pairing has been unsuccessful, repeat these set of steps again
RESET TO DEFAULT:
- If you like to reset your remote to be compatible to all receiver, please press the “ ” light button and “ ”8 hours timer button in the same time for 10 seconds, during the process the indication light will flash rapidly.
REMOTE CONTROL BUTTONS
Before you start using the remote, take the time to read through this section and get familiar with the button and function of each button.
LED Indicator
The red LED indicator (inside) on the top of receiver will flash when the
buttons are active.
BUTTONS ON THE REMOTE (Fig.9)
: touch the button to set fan running at Low speed.
: touch the button to set fan running at Medium speed.
: touch the button to set fan running at High speed.
: touch the button to turn OFF the fan.
: touch the button to turn ON/OFF the light.
:touch the button to timer setting 2 hours
:touch the button to timer setting 4 hours
: touch the button to timer setting 8 hours
NOTE: When a button has been pressed on the remote, the LED indicator
will flash and the remote will vibrate when the buttons are active.
The remote has a memory function. If the fan or light is turned off by the
wall switch, it will memorise and recover the last status when turned on next.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR THE BATTERY
There is a button battery (3V CR2450) included as accessory for the remote/transmitter.
- WARNING – KEEP NEW AND USED BATTERIES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
- CAUTION – DO NOT INGEST BATTERY—CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD.
- Always use 3V CR2450 DC battery type with this ceiling fan remote controller.
- Ensure the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
- To prevent false operation during battery insertion or replacement, this ceiling fan must be disconnected from the supply mains.
- Remove batteries from the product when not in use for long periods of time.
- Batteries must be removed from the remote transmitter before it is discarded.
- Regularly check the product and make sure the battery compartment cover is correctly secured. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- If the battery compartment cover has been cracked or damaged, do not continue to use this product.
- Dispose of used batteries immediately and safely (so they cannot be retrieved by children). Flat batteries can still be dangerous. Contact your local council to safely dispose of the battery.
- Batteries shall only be installed or replaced by an adult.
- If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the oesophagus.
- If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, immediately call the 24-hour Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for fast, expert advice.
- Battery Leaks: Battery contains chemicals and should be treated as any chemical would. Take precautions when handling leaked battery chemicals. Battery chemicals should not be placed near the eyes or ingested. Contact Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for fast, expert advice.
Safety Tips
- Always ensure the power is OFF before performing any maintenance, cleaning or making any adjustment to the product.
- This product is to be used with a ceiling fan only. Do not use this product for any other purpose. The receiver must be installed inside the canopy of ceiling fan before setting up the remote.
- Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the remote/transmitter.
- Select a suitable location away from liquids and hazards.
- Do NOT soak or immerse the product in water or other liquids.
- Ensure that the product does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals/solvents or abrasive cleaners etc.
