INSTALLATION
PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE USE.
Find an ideal Place for the Solar Light.
Place the solar light in an area where it will receive direct sunlight for at
least 8 hours per day. The number of hours the light will illuminate is
directly proportional to the hours of sunlight it receives. If the light is
placed in a shaded area, it will not be able to fully charge and its
illumination time will be limited. Do not place the light near other outdoor
lighting like porch or streetlights. These may fool the sensor and keep the
light from coming on, or cause it to turn off automatically To easily insert
stakes into the ground, it is recommended to wet the ground first. To avoid
damaging garden stakes when inserting into the ground, select a spot in soft,
rock-free soil. Insert the base of the stake first then gently insert the rest
of the stake into the base. After inserting the stake into the ground, place
the spotlight over the stake.
Mounting the spotlight
- Remove the mounting plate from the spotlight by twisting the dial anti-clockwise.
- Choose a locatoin with maximum sun exposure. Drill holes matching the pattern on the mounting plate and install plastic anchors (included). Attach the mounting plate using 3 screws (included)
- Align the arm of the spotlight with the opening of the mounting plate. Twist the dial clockwise to tighten and secure it.
ADJUSTING ANGLES
- To adjust the angle of the Solar Panel, loosen the Adjustment Knob (2) Once desired angle has been selected, tighten the knob.
- Swivel the arm (3) of spotlight to direct the light where needed
For in-ground installation
- Make sure the mounting plate is attached to the swivel arm of the unit.
- Insert ground spike into stake.
- Make sure the soil is softened. Insert stake into the ground.
- Insert spotlight over the stake.
USAGE
-
Make sure you read and follow the installation directions prior to use.
-
When using for the first time, turn the Spotlight ON by sliding the switch located on the back of the solar panel to Sensor Mode position.
-
Leave the unit under direct sunlight for solar charging at least 5-6 hours.
UNIT NEEDS TO BE FULLY CHARGED BEFORE INITIAL USE. -
If there is insufficient sunlight, it may take longer for the batteries to charge.
-
Once it gets dark, the Spotlight will turn on automatically when it detects motion. The light will stay on for 30 seconds and then will go off if no motion has been detected.
-
The Spotlight will turn off during the day or if unit runs out of battery.
-
Security Camera likeness: Once the unit is in Sensor Mode (ON) position, red LED light will blink on the front of the spotlight. The red light will remain blinking until motion is detected and spotlight turns on.
