Product Usage Instructions

Initial Setup

For first time using, it is recommended that you follow these steps:

  1. Fill the kettle to the maximum level mark with fresh tap water.
  2. Boil the water and empty the kettle at least two times to clear any dust or materials from the manufacturing process.
  3. Do not drink this water.

Kettle Operation

  1. Remove the kettle from the base to fill it.
  2. Press the switch at the top of the handle to open the lid.
  3. Pour water into the kettle to the desired level, ensuring it is between the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM marks.
  4. Press the lid shut and place the kettle back on the base unit.
  5. CAUTION: Too little water may damage the heating element and too much water may cause water to splatter from the kettle.
  6. Connect the plug into the power outlet.
  7. Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch on-off.
  8. Ensure the kettle is positioned so that the spout is facing away from you.
  9. The kettle will automatically switch itself off once the water is boiled.
  10. Lift the kettle from the base and pour the water into a container or cup.
  11. The boiling process can be terminated at any time by lifting the kettle off the power base.
  12. CAUTION: Do not lift the lid during boiling.

Care and Maintenance

  1. Do not attempt to dismantle the kettle or power base. There are no user serviceable parts. For service or repair, contact an authorized electrician.
  2. To prolong the kettle’s life, please clean the mineral deposits in the kettle regularly.
  3. Always unplug from the plug socket and allow to cool down before cleaning.
  4. Do not immerse the power cord, kettle, or power base in water.
  5. Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle as these will scratch the surface and fade the outside color.
  6. Periodical descaling is required. The interval of descaling depends on the hardness of water in your area and the frequency of using the kettle.
  7. Fill the kettle with 0.5 liter white vinegar and the remainder with water and allow to stand for at least one hour.
  8. Empty the solution from the kettle. Wipe the remaining deposits with a damp cloth.
  9. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to a boil, and then discard the water.
  10. Repeat at least once or until no mineral deposits are left and the kettle will be ready to use.

KETTLE OPERATION
