Important Safety Precautions
When using your Vivitar Digital Camera Binoculars with Night Vision basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR CAMERA.
- Do not use your camera near water. Shut down immediate and remove the battery if it is exposed to water or short circuiting.
- Do not place your camera on any wet surfaces.
- Do not allow children or the infirm to play with your camera without adult supervision.
- Do not expose your camera to excessive heat, flames or fire.
- Always press all buttons or switches carefully. Do not manhandle your camera.
- Do not use in extremely dry environments, as this can lead to static discharge during usage.
- Do not expose your camera to temperatures above 50°C.
- Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Contact a qualified service center if your camera is in need of service.
- Do not drop, puncture or expose your camera to excessive trauma.
- Your camera is not intended for commercial use.
- Do not place near objects that generate a strong magnetic field.
- Unplug this device when not in use for long periods of time or during lightning storms.
- Only use the supplied battery. Do not use if the battery has expanded or leaked. If the battery or any parts have been swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
- Do not operate your camera while you are driving an automobile.
- Store in a cool, dry environment when not in use.
- Before use, make sure that the battery has been fully charged and that a suitable memory card inserted.
- WARNING: DO NOT STARE AT THE SUN DIRECTLY THROUGH THIS CAMERA OR ANY OTHER DEVICE. DOING SO WILL DAMAGE YOUR EYES.
BATTERY WARNING:
-The device is equipped with an integrated lithium ion battery. The battery cannot be replaced. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device.
-Do not dispose of in fire or expose to excessive heat.
-Do not crush, puncture, incinerate, or short circuit extemal contacts.
Please recycle or dispose of the battery properly. Contact local recycling facilities and/or the manufacturer of your battery for further information

Thank you for purchasing your Vivitar Digital Camera Binoculars with Night Vision, item VIVCVIR12. You can use your camera to capture high quality videos and photos. Use the night vision function to see in the dark. In order to get the best results when using this device, please read this manual first before using.

Installing the Battery
Open the battery compartment located at the bottom of your device.
Insert the included lithium battery.
Charging Your Device
After installing the lithium battery, you will need to charge the device. Open the rubber cover on the side of your device to reveal the charging port and memory card slot. Insert the USB-C end of the included charging cable into the charging port, then insert the standard USB end into a USB power port such as one on a PC or a wall adapter.

-Press to move selection on menus.
-Press and hold to zoom in on camera and video mode.

-Press to move selection on menus.
-Press and hold to zoom out on camera and video mode.
| OK Button
-In photo mode, press to Capture image.
-In video mode, press to record video. Press again
to stop recording.
-In playback mode, press to play and pause videos.
-On menus, press to select an option.
| IR-LED Button
-Continuously press to adjust between 3 IR-LED settings.
Inserting a Memory Card
Before powering on your camera, insert a micro SD memory card into the memory card slot. A micro SD memory card is required in order to store recorded photos and videos.
- Open the compartment cover located at the side of the camera.
NOTE:
- If a “Card is Full” error message appears on your display take more photos or videos.
- You may need to format a memory card for the camera to memory card before formatting, as the formatting process will
IR-LED Night Vision
While your camera is on photo or camera mode in a dark environment, activate
the IR-LED night vision light by pressing the IR Up button.
There are 3 levels of IR-LED light intensity. To change the IR-LED intensity
press the IR-LED button continuously until you reach the desired intensity.
Powering On & Off
Powering On
Press and hold the Power button to power on your camera.
Powering Off
Press and hold the Power button to power off your camera.
Switching Modes
Your camera has three different modes, photo mode, video mode and playback
mode. To switch between modes, press the menu/mode button.
Accessing Menus
After powering on the camera, press the Menu/Mode button to open the settings
menu.
Each mode has a corresponding menu that is accessed by pressing and holding
the Menu/Mode button. To change photo or video settings, the corresponding
mode must be running.
To open photo settings, photo mode must be on. To open video settings, video
mode must be on.

Photo Mode/Taking Photos
After powering on your camera, photo mode will be on by default. On photo
mode, you should see a camera icon at the upper left corner of your display
screen
Taking a Picture
To take a picture, press the OK button. Adjust the Manual Focus to sharpen the
lens on photo subject by turning the focus wheel. Press and hold the Zoom Out
and Zoom In buttons to zoom in and out. Press the IR-LED button to adjust
Night Vision IR-LED light.
Video Mode/Recording Videos
After powering on your camera, press the Menu/Mode button to enter video mode.
On photo mode, you should see a video icon at the upper left corner of your
display screen
Recording a Video
To start recording, press the OK button. Adjust the Manual Focus to sharpen
the lens on photo subject by turning the focus wheel. Press and hold the Zoom
Out and Zoom In buttons to zoom in and out. Press the IR-LED button to adjust
Night Vision IR-LED light. Press the OK button again to stop recording.
Playback Mode
To enter playback mode, press the Menu/Mode button until the playback icon is
shown at the top left of the screen. Once in playback mode, use the Right and
Left buttons to toggle through videos or photos.
Press the OK button to play or pause videos.

Connecting to a Computer
- Connect one end of the included USB-C cable into the USB port on your camera.
- Connect the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
- Your camera’s display screen will show 2 options: Memory and Video card onto your computer.

Manual Focus
When looking through the display screen on video or photo mode, objects may
appear blurry. To sharpen, focus the camera’s lens using the Manual Focus
located at the front of the camera.
To focus the camera lens, rotate the Manual Focus to the right and to the left
until objects appear clearer.

This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser only and is not
transferable.
This warranty covers products that fail to function properly UNDER NORMAL
USAGE, due to defects in material or workman- ship. Your product will be
repaired or replaced at no charge for parts or labor for a period of one year.
What Is Not Covered by Warranty
Damages or malfunctions not resulting from defects in material or
workmanship and damages or malfunctions from other than normal use, including
but limited to, repair by unauthorized parties, tampering, modification or
accident.

To receive Warranty service along with the name and address of an authorized
product service center, the original consumer purchaser must contact us for
problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase in the form of
a bill of sale or receipted invoice, evidencing that the product is within the
applicable Warranty period(s), MUST be presented in order to obtain the
requested service. It is your responsibility to properly package and send any
defective products along with a dated copy of proof of purchase, a written
explanation of the problem, and a valid return address to the authorized
service center at your expense. Do not include any other items or accessories
with the defective product. Any products received by the authorized service
center that are not covered by warranty will be returned unrepaired.
