Troubleshooting Steps for Product Issues

1. HDMI Cable Issue:

  1. The projector and computer may not function properly due to the HDMI cable being too long. Solution: The optimal HDMI cable length should be within 10 meters. Excessively long HDMI cables may affect signal transmission quality, leading to issues like black screen, flickering, and unstable display.
  2. Ensure that both ends of the HDMI cable are correctly inserted into the HDMI ports of the laptop and external display devices (such as TV or projector).
  3. Check if the HDMI cable connections between the projector and computer are secure, as poor contact can result in flickering.
  4. Verify that the HDMI cable is not damaged. You can try using another reliable HDMI cable for connection and regularly inspect the HDMI cables of the projector and computer to ensure they are not damaged for proper functionality.
  5. Use an HDMI 2.0 or higher cable, as the HDMI output of the graphics card is 2.0. Many cables are still HDMI 1.4. When connecting to a 4K display, using an HDMI 2.0 cable can resolve potential flickering issues due to bandwidth limitations.

2. Resolution Issue:

  1. Sometimes, problems with the resolution settings when connecting the HDMI cable to external devices can lead to screen projection failure. It is recommended to set the resolution correctly before connecting external devices, preferably to the recommended resolution of the device. If you have already connected the HDMI cable but laptop screen projection is unsuccessful, try changing the resolution settings and then search for external devices in the “External Devices” tab.
  2. Please note that the final output resolution through HDMI depends on your host device (only when your device supports 4K resolution will the video output be in 4K).

3. Power Issue:

  1. When connecting the HDMI cable, make sure to check if both the laptop and external device are powered on. If the external device is only connected to power without being powered on, or if the laptop’s battery is critically low, this can also lead to projection issues. If other troubleshooting methods have no effect, checking the power source is crucial.

4. Adjust Display Settings:

  1. In the Windows system, rightclick on an empty space on the desktop and select “Display Settings.”
  2. In the display settings, ensure that the external display device is detected and set to extend or duplicate mode to enable screen projection.
  3. If the external display device is not detected, try clicking the “Detect” button or restarting the computer before attempting again.

5. No Response from Projection, Check Display Device Settings:

  1. Ensure that the external display device is set to the correct input source mode (e.g., HDMI input).
  2. Check the display device’s settings menu to ensure it has not disabled HDMI input or imposed other restrictions.

6. Flickering Issue Due to Incompatibility of the Monitor:

  1. Incompatibility of the monitor, including HDMI interface, HDMI signal processing circuit, and HDMI signal software optimization, may result in flickering. Poor compatibility for HDMI signal mode judgment can also lead to flickering.

7. Laptop Unable to Recognize HDMI Monitor:

  1. Ensure that your laptop’s USBC port supports DisplayPort/video output.
  2. Check your HDMI cable and monitor. (Try connecting the monitor directly to the laptop to see if it works)
  3. The USBC hub provides sufficient power.

8. If one of display does not display, How to do?

  1. Right click desktop > Graphics Settings > Select One or More Active Displays.

9. Why the Resolution can’t achieve 4K@60HZ ?

  1. Make sure both your monitor and host laptop support 4K@60Hz video output.

10. Why is the screen sometimes black?

  1. The reason why the screen is black is that the power consumption of the docking station is too high, so you need to charge the laptop through the charging port on the docking station, so you can solve the problem of black screen of the display.

11. If display stopped after connect high current hard disk, how to do?

  1. Must be charged. Please supply power by power adapter.

12. Sometimes WiFi stopped working while hard disk connected to hub, how to do?

  1. 2.4G network is easily disturbed. You can switch to 5G network. Or you can adjust the placement of the hard disk, move to suitable place.
