Charging The Walabot
- The Walabot DIY 2 is powered by a rechargeable battery. You can charge the battery with the Type C to USB cable provided. It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge the battery. When fully charged you will get approximately 3 hours of scanning.
- When your Walabot is being charged, an amber LED light and a blue light will turn on. When the amber LED light turns off, the Walabot is fully charged.
- When you are in the Walabot app, in Scan Mode, you’ll see a battery indicator icon in the top right of the screen that shows the battery level.
Battery Safety Instructions
Noncompliance with these instructions can lead to your Walabot catching fire.
- Do not open or break the Walabot housing which keeps the battery safe from electrical shorts and other hazards.
- Do not charge the device unattended.
- Do not remove the battery from the Walabot.
- Stop using the Walabot if the product housing is damaged. Do not attempt to reinstall the battery.
- If you think that the Walabot or the battery is damaged in any way, stop using it immediately.
- Do not immerse the Walabot in liquid or allow it to get wet.
- Do not drop the Walabot.
- Do not place the Walabot in high-pressure containers, microwave ovens, or on induction hobs.
- Immediately discontinue use of the Walabot if while using, charging, or storing, the device or the battery emits an unusual smell, feels hot, changes color or shape, or appears abnormal in any other way.
- Do not expose the device to heat.
- Do not disassemble or modify the Walabot in any way.
- Keep the Walabot away from children and pets.
- Never charge or store the Walabot inside a car in extreme temperatures (low or high) which may ignite the battery and cause a fire.
- Never charge the Walabot if it is already fully charged.
- When the Walabot is unused for a long period of time, make sure it is stored safely.
- If unused for a long period of time, do not let the battery level fall to zero.
- Keep the device in a cool, dry place.
- In the event of skin being exposed to battery electrolytes, wash the affected area with water immediately.
- If eye exposure occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek emergency care immediately.
- Only a certified charger can be used with Walabot – safety approved to IEC 62368-1 or equivalent.
- It is your responsibility to determine that your charger, USB cable, and device work properly.
- Do not use a malfunctioning charger or charging cable.
- Walabot should be stored indoors. Do not expose the device to very cold or very hot temperatures. Do not expose your Walabot to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
- The ambient temperature range, while charging or using the Walabot, should be 0-45 degrees Celsius (32-113 Fahrenheit).
