Button Function Description

Description

  1. Confirm Button
    1 Recording Interface: Enable/disable recording.
    2 Menu Interface: Confirm the selected option.
    3 Playback interface: Selected video file, play/pause.

  2. Playback Button
    1 Short press enter the playback interface. Short press the Menu Button to exit the playback interface and return to the recording interface.

  3. Lock Button
    1 Recording Interface: Lock the video during the recording process. (When daily recording, a red origin point will appear in the upper left corner When locked, the red point will turn into a yellow point )
    2 Playback Interface: The camera will inquiry you  to lock or unlock the files.

  4. Power/Screen Save Button
    1 Long Press:Long press to turn on/off the camera, camera will start working automatically. In the power-on status, press for 3 seconds to off the device, it will power off and automatically saves the video recording currently and settings you have set.
    2 Short Press:Turn on/ off the device screen.

  8. Down Button(Front/Rear View Exchange)
    1 Recording Interface: Short press to switch front/rear view. Long press to turn on/off the audio
    2 Menu/Playback Interface: moves to the next option.

Installation Guide

  1. Insert the memory card.
    Warm Tips : A Class 10 or above memory card is highly recommended for the X43 dash cam (32G TF card was inserted in the dash cam). Please format your card in the camera before using this dash cam. Do not remove or insert the memory card when  the dash cam is turned on.
    This may broke that.

  2. Insert the bracket into the bracket slot.

  3. Install the X43 dash cam on the windshield.
    1 Choose the correct installation position.
    2 Clean the windshield with a dry cloth.
    3 Press the X43 dash cam to the windshield.

  4. Adjust the viewing angle accordingly.

  5. Connect the USB power cable into the type-C USB power port of X43 Dash Cam, then plug the car charger into the cigarette lighter of your car.

  6. Connect the rear camera with the extension cable into X43 Dash Cam to check whether the rear camera works well.

  7. Install the Rear Camera.
    1 Position 1: Install the rear camera on the rear windshield. The installation is easier.

cameraTo use the reversing function, please install the rear camera in position 2, then connect the red trigger wire of the rear camera extension cable to the positive lead of the vehicle reversing lamp.

    Pay attention to the connector position when connecting the rear camera with the extension cable, please refer to the details below:

cable1 Please clean the position to ensure the adhesive quality before installing the rear camera.
    2 Please clean the rear windshield regularly to ensure the image quality if you choose the position 1.
    3 If you choose the position 2, you can install the rear camera with the adhesive stickers or screws.

  8. Use the bar to hide the cables.

Download The App

  1. Download the “Viidure” app on the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code to download the APP.

    2 Turn on the WiFi in menu interface setting.
    Default WLAN-Hotspot Name: EDRX43****
    Default WiFi Password: 12345678
    WiFi name and password can be changed on APP or X43 dash cam.
    3 Connect phone to camera’s WiFi. Enter the password and confirm the WiFi network. When it done, the WiFi icon on the screen will change to white.
    4 Open the “Viidure” app, tap “Access Camera”, wait a few seconds to enter the preview interface.
    5 Tap the video or photo icon to control the dash cam, either recording videos or shooting photos.
    6 Tap the switch icon to switch to the front or rear camera display

  2. Download or delete videos and photos
    1 Tap the Video icon to stop the recording.
    2 Tap the icon to check the videos or photos.
    3 Tap “Select” and choose videos or photos that you want.
    4 Tap the download or delete icon to download or delete.

Interface Introduction

  1. Recording Interface

Interface 1 Video:When recording starts, a red point will appear in the upper left corner ;when locked, the red point will turn into a yellow point .
    2 Recording Time Stamp:The recording time is displayed under normal recording. The default is 1 minute. You can select the loop recording to change the time in the setting interface, and the non-recording status will be hidden.
    3 Resolution:Displays the current video resolution, the default is 2.5K, which can be changed in the setting menu.
    4 WDR:Can be turn on/off in setting menu.
    5 Date:Displays the current RTC date, which can be set in the settings menu.
    6 Time:The current RTC time, set in the settings menu.
    7 Parking Icon:Turn on/off it in setting menu.
    8 G-sensor Icon:Turn on/off it in setting menu.
    9 WiFi Icon:When WiFi is turned on and connected to your phone correct, icon will become white, which can be turned on and off in the settings menu.
    10 TF Card Icon:The TF card is inserted into the prompt icon, and it will like this when it not insert.
    11 Audio Icon:When this feature off, it will be like this.
    12 Power Icon:The icon is displayed when the car charger is connected for charging.
    13 License Plate:Set it in setting menu.

  2. Playback Interface
    1 Hit the “Playback Button” on the device enter to playback interface.

Button2 Locked File: Click to view the locked video file. (The lock files of the front and rear cameras are respectively saved in the “event\F” folder and the “event\R” folder in the SD card.) (Press lock button to choose if unlock the files)
    3 Photo File: Click to view the photo files. (The photo files of the front and rear cameras are respectively saved in the “photo\F” folder and the “photo\R” folder in the SD card.) (Press playback button to choose if delete the files)
    4 Video File: Click to view daily save video files. (The video files of the front and rear cameras are respectively saved in the “video\F” folder and the “video\R” folder in the SD card.) (Press playback button to choose if delete the files. Press lock button to  choose if lock the files)
    5 In-Grid Files: The file content in the corresponding file mode is stored. You can slide up and down to select the file.
    After selecting the file, it will enter the file playback interface corresponding to the file. The end of the file F.ts represents the front cameras file; the end R.ts represents the rear cameras file; the end SOS.ts represents the emergency recording`s file.The time on the right represents the file generation time.
    6 Park Monitoring File: Click to view the parking monitoring mode record video file. (The park monitoring files of the front and rear cameras are respectively saved in the “park\F” folder and the “park\R” folder in the SD card.)

  3. In “Main Screen” Interface
    1 Confirm Button:Enable/Disable recording
    2 Up Button:Take pictures
    3 Down Button:Switch between front and rear view recording; Long press to turn on/off audio record.
    4 Menu Button:Enter the menu interface and display the menu function panel. In any steps, menus button feature as “back button”, Press to return last step.
    5 Playback Button:Enter the files visit interface and display the playback function panel. In playback interface press to choose delete the files.
    6 Lock Button:Lock the current recording video. When the video is locked, the video icon on the screen will become yellow . In playback interface, press to choose lock or unlock the files.
    7 Power Button:Short press to turn off the screen, long press to turn off the camera.

  4. Setting Interface
    Click “Settings Button” on the device to enter the setting interface, and the default selection is resolution.

Interface1 First level menu: Display the setting menu function, you can press the UP and DOWN keys to select, after selection, the content of the current corresponding first-level menu and the default items will be displayed in the second-level menu.
    2 Second level menu: After selecting the first-level menu, it will be displayed, and the corresponding selection content will be changed. Note: The selection will be saved after shutdown.

Setting Menu Instruction

Instruction

  1. Resolution
    Change the video resolution. There are currently 2.5K and 1080P, which represent 2560×1440 resolution and 1920×1080 resolution respectively. The default is 2.5K.

  2. Recording time
    Indicates the video recording time, that is the video file division time. The recording time period can be set to 1, 3, and 5 minutes, and the default is 1 minute.
    Note: When the SD card is full, the recorder will auto overwrite the oldest clips.

  3. Parking Monitoring
    Parking monitoring is divided into four modes: off, low, medium and high. The default is off. Low, medium and high indicate the sensitivity of vibration monitoring.
    When using without step-down line, In the off state, if the car vibrates slightly, the recorder will automatically start recording and lock and lock the touch. This video is a locked video and will not be overwritten. After 30 seconds of video recording, the  dash cam will automatically shut down;
    When using with dash cam step-down line, after the parking monitoring function is turned on, it will prompt a tip “entering parking monitoring mode” when dash cam is turned off, then recording itself.
    If the power-on operation occurs during the recording process, it will not be turned off after the locked recording is completed, and it will switch back to the normal recording mode.
    Note:
    24-hour parking monitoring must be connected to the car battery with the step-down line for power supply.
    **Parking monitoring supports sensitivity adjustment: high/medium/low, you can change the settings in the parking monitoring settings according to actual needs.

  4. Gravity Sensor
    The machine has a built-in G-sensor, and the gravity sensor is divided into four modes: off, low, medium, and high, the default is off.
    Low, medium and high indicate the sensitivity of vibration monitoring. Turn on the gravity sensing function, if the machine vibrates during the recording process (such as collision, etc.), the current video can be automatically locked.
    Note:** The collision sensor (G-sensor) supports sensitivity adjustment: high/medium/low, you can change the settings in the gravity sensor settings according to actual needs.

  5. WIFI switch
    Can choose on or off. When it connect success, the icon will change to white.

  6. Screen Saver
    Screen saver is divided into off, 30 seconds, 3minutes, 5 minutes, the default is off. After the screen saver is turned on, if there is no touch or key operation during use, the screen will be turned off. After closing the screen, you can turn on the screen by short  pressing the power button.
    Note: Recording continues even after the screen is turned off.

  7. Light Source Frequency
    You can choice 50Hz/ 60Hz.

    You can choice the language as you need.

  9. Audio
    Turn on/off the audio.

  10. Rear Mirror
    Streaming media mirroring is divided into two types: On and Off, and the default is On. Turning on streaming mirroring will mirror the rear view camera.

  11. WDR
    WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology helps balance exposure level. Even in the low-light conditions, the X43 solidly provides you extremely clear and smooth image quality.

  12. Time-lapse video
    Time-lapse video recording: It is a shooting technology that compresses time. It shoots a group of photos or videos, and later uses the series of photos or video to extract frames, and the process of minutes, hours, or even days and years is recorded.
    Compressed to play as a video in a shorter period of time. In a time-lapse video, the slowly changing process of an object or scene is compressed into a short period of time, presenting a bizarre and wonderful scene that is usually invisible to the naked eye.
    Time-lapse video recording can be selected from four forms: off, 5 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours. The default is off. When you choose to turn on the time- lapse video recording, if the car is turned off, the ACC will be disconnected, and the main interface of  the recorder will prompt “Enter time-lapse video recording.”prompt box, and then enter the record media interface, the recording mode is time-lapse video mode, and the screen will be turned off after 5s. If a touch operation occurs within 5s or a touch  operation occurs after the screen is closed, the screen will be closed again after 10s. When the car starts up again and the ACC is powered on, it will exit the time-lapse video recording and pop up a prompt box “Exit time-lapse video recording”.
    Time-lapse interval (time-lapse frame rate) selection of time-lapse video can be selected in the time-lapse interval of the menu.
    Note:
    This Time-lapse video recording function needs to turn on the ACC function, otherwise it will not appear. ACC function open need to connect with a step- down line(Not included) .
    ACC: Adaptive Cruise Control;
    Time-lapse video recording power box (step-down line) requirements: anti- surge protection, low power cut off power supply, the minimum voltage is 4.8V under load, the maximum cannot exceed 5.5V, the maximum can not exceed 5.5V when no-load,  The current should be greater than 2A, and the ripple requirement is within 100MV.

  13. Date/Time
    The time setting tip pops up, you can set the time and date of the recording, the default is the factory time, this setting will be updated to the interface display time and OSD time watermark.
    Note: In order to effectively record the date and time of evidence collection of driving safety accidents, please set the correct time before using the machine.

  14. Volume
    Adjust the volume level

  15. Formatting
    The format tip pops up, you can choose whether to format quickly, the default is quick format, and you can choose whether to confirm the format

  16. License Plate Settings
    The license plate setting tip pops up, and the license plate can be set. The default is AB123456, 8 digits, and it can be set to six digits for the green license plate. This setting will be updated to the interface to display the license plate and the OSD license plate  watermark.
    Note: In order to effectively record the license plate of the vehicle owner for the evidence collection of the driving safety accident, please set the correct license plate before using the machine.
    How to set license plate?
    First row: The license plate that has been successfully set.
    Second row: Optional letters or numbers or space bar.

    2 Press “Up/down” button to select the right letter/number, then Press “Playback” button to confirm.

  17. Restore Factory Settings
    A tip of restoring to factory settings will pop up, and you can choose whether to confirm the restoration of factory settings, confirming that all function setting information, screen setting lens display and display screen position, playback interface display  screen position and display

  18. About (Device Information)
    The About tip will pop up, showing the core, software and model of the recorder

Frequent QA

Q:The camera can not record video or take photos?

A:Be sure you are using suitable memory card: Speed over Class 10, support up to 128gb. Be sure the memory card is formatted properly and inserted correctly.

Q:The camera automatically stop recording ?

A:Format the memory card in setting menu.The G-sensor might be triggered too often and locks too many video files, try keep low sensitivity.

Q:The camera can not turn on ?

A:This camera features Built-in battery as internal power, it`s used only for saving the video file after external power supply cuts off (car turn off). This camera will not turn on without external power supply. Check the power supply, make sure they are connected properly, power indicator on the power adapter is on, and the connectors are tight.

Q:Suction mount cannot attach on windshield well ?

A:Please clean the windshield with a glass cleaning wipe. Removed the protective film. If it is still not working, please contact us to get a replacement.

Q:The recorded video is unclear ?

A:Make sure there are no fingerprints or dirt on the lens, Try to adjust the angle to avoid blocks or glare or wind-shield reflecting.

Q:Color of the video or photo is not good ?

A:Verify that Frequency option is set to 60Hz (North America) or set accordingly.

Q:The camera crashes or not responding to operations ?

A:Use a pin or and unfolded paper clip, press the RESET button to restart the camera
