2.1 How to Use
Connecting the hub:

1. Put the hub on a flat surface. stand your Mac mini vertically on it, and plug in the USB-C cable to your Mac mini’s Thunderbolt port.
2. Connect USB peripherals, USB-C devices. and SD cards. USB-C and USB-A ports can’t be used for charging.

Installing the SSD.

1. Use the provided screwdriver to remove the cover on the hubs underside.

2. Insert SSD into the enclosure at a 45° angle. Ensure it’s firmly seated.

3. Press down the SSD until the rubber fastener secure it.

4. Peel off the thermal pads protective film and place the pad above the chip.

5. Put the cover back and secure it with the screwdriver and screw.

2.2 FAQs

Q.Why is my Mac mini not responding when I plug it into the hub?
A: This hub is a perfect match for your Mac mini 2018 model and above. If you are connecting hub with 2017 and older versions. they might not be supported.

Q. Does the hub support charging?
A: The USB ports are NOT designed for charging. only for device syncing. data transfer and USB peripherals.
Q. What to do when the SSD is ejected?
A: Firstly. make sure the SSD is inserted fully and correctly, and make sure you are running the newest mac0S. Then visit system settings:

1. System settings – Energy Saver – disable “put hard disks to sleep when possible
2. System settings -Displays – Advanced – Energy (Prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off)

Q.Can’t read the TF/SD cards. is that normal?
A : Firstly. make sure the card is inserted fully and correctly. and for SD card make sure the Lock switch is slid up (unlock position). Then. confirm that the TF/SD card format is readable. If not. please manually format the card. Remember to back up your data first.
Q. Can the hub supports Apple USB Super Drive?
A. NO. It can’t provide enough power to operate. We recommended that you connect to the Thunderbolt port and use it directly.
Q.Why can’t I reach maximum speed?
A: The maximum speed of 1 Gbps can be achieved when a single USB port is utilized. When multiple ports are in use concurrently. the available bandwidth is automatically distributed among them. This leads to each individual port having a speed less than 1 Gbps.
