EXPERT MEDICALS COVID-19 Antigen Lateral Flow Test Kit Instructions

Step 1 – Preparing your test

1.  Gently blow your nose into a tissue to get rid of any excess mucus. Wash and dry your hands (or use hand sanitiser).
2. Ensure your hands are dry before starting the test. Unseal the foil pouch and put the cassette on a clean, dry and level surface.
3. Place the extraction tube into the workstation found in the packaging. Remove the lid from the top of the extraction tube.
4. Open the swab package where indicated. Pull the swab out by grasping the plastic end. Do not touch the absorbent swab tip.

Step 2 – Taking your test

1. Carefully insert the absorbent tip of the swab into your left nostril. Ensure that the entire swab tip is inside your nostril ( 2-3 cm deep). Do not insert the swab further after you feel resistance. Roll the swab at least 5 times against the inside of your nostril.
2. Remove the swab and insert it into the right nostril. Repeat Step 1.
3. Remove the swab from your nostril and insert the absorbent tip of the swab into the extraction tube in the workstation.
4. Mix well by rolling the swab at least 6 times while pressing the head of the swab against the bottom and sides of the tube. Leave the swab in the tube for one minute. Squeeze the tube several times from the outside to try and release as much solution from the swab as possible. Remove the swab and discard in the biohazard bag provided. Push the tip provided in the kit into the tube and ensure it fits tightly. Add 4 drops of the solution into the sample well (marked `S’) of the cassette by gently squeezing the tube.

Step 3 – Activate your Test Kit

   Start a timer and read your results at 15 minutes, as shown below:

After reading your result, place the cassette on the outline shown and place your passport next to the cassette ensuring both are clearly visible.
Visit https://expert-testing.co.uk/activate and click Activate your Pre- Departure test’ thenActivate Antigen Test’ to activate your test.
Take a clear image of the cassette in the correct orientation, with the QR Code clearly visible next to your passport.

1. Upon successful activation of your test kit, your results certificate will be emailed to you within 3 hours.
2. If the cassette is incorrectly positioned and your passport is not visible in the image, or if the image quality is poor, you may not receive your results certificate.
