User Manual
Preface
Thank you for purchasing this brand new LM585R laser level. In order to use
this product safely and correctly, please read this manual thoroughly,
especially the Safety Instructions part.
After reading this manual, it is recommended to keep the manual at an easily
accessible place, preferably close to the device, for future reference.
Limited Warranty and Liability
Uni-Trend guarantees that the product is free from any defect in material and
workmanship within one year from the purchase date. This warranty does not
apply to damages caused by accident, negligence, misuse, modification,
contamination and improper handiing. The dealer shall not be entitled to give
any other warranty on behalf of Uni-Trend. If you need warranty service within
the warranty period, please contact your seller directly.
This warranty is the only compensation you can obtain. Uni-Trend will not be
responsible for any special, indirect, incidental or subsequent damage or loss
caused by any reason or speculation. As some areas or countries do not allow
limitations on implied warranties and incidental or subsequent damage, the
above limitation of liability and stipulation may not apply to you.

Warning!

Cautions
Some product kits will provide glasses. Please note that these glasses are not
safety glasses.
They are only used to help users recognize the laser beam in strong ambient
light or when the light source of the laser instrument is distant.
- Do not stare into beam or directly observe the laser beam (red or green light source) via an optical instrument or set the instrument at the eye level (to avoid damage to eyes).
- Do not disassemble the laser instrument without authorization.
- Do not refit the instrument without authorization in any way; otherwise it may cause harmul laser radiation exposure.
- Do not use the laser instrument around children or allow them to use it.
- Exposure to Class 2 lasers for no more than 2 seconds is generally considered safe, because natural eyelid reflexes (blinking) usually can provide adequate protection.

Installation of the Battery Pack
When the laser instrument is in the locked state, toggle the pendulum lock to
the unlocked position to turn it on. Toggling the pendulum lock to the locked
position can turn off the instrument in any mode. In the self-leveling/manual
mode, the LED indicator is green and the battery power shows on the battery
status screen. When the instrument is turned off, the battery power indicator
will off after 5 seconds.
When the laser instrument is in the locked state, toggle the pendulum lock to
the unlocked position to start the self-inspection. After completing the self-
inspection, the horizontal laser line s always on, and the instrument is in
the self-leveling mode. I the self-leveling range of 3°41°, the instrument
will perform the self-leveling function.
If the range is exceeded, the instrument will flash quickly and make a beeping
sound Press the H button to turn on/off the horizontal laser line, and press
the V/ button to turn onfoff the vertical laser line. (The two
horizontallvertical laser lines can be used alone o together).
When the instrument is turned on, toggle the pendulum lock to the locked
position again, and the instrument can be tumed off.
Note:
It is to ensure that users must toggle the pendulum lock to the locked
position before turning off the instrument.
Manual Mode
When the instrument is tured off, press and hold the Manual mode/Pulse button
for more than 3 seconds to turn on the instrument and enter the manual mode.
The laser line can be set to different angles. In the self-leveling/manual
mode, the LED indicator is red. Press and hold the Manual mode/Pulse button
again for more than 2 seconds to turn off the instrument.
In the manual mode, the out-of-range sensing will be tumed off and the laser
line will flash once every five seconds to remind users that the manual mode
is enabled.
Note: The laser line in the manual mode cannot be used as a
horizontal/vertical reference line.
Function Description
This product can emit 4 vertical laser lines, 1 horizontal 360° laser line and
1 lower line point, which are controlled by pressing the H and V buttons. When
the instrument s turned on, it emits the front vertical laser line, horizontal
laser line and lower line point by default.
Short press the H button to tur on/off the horizontal laser line and lower
line point Short press the V button to step through vertical laser lines.
Short press the P button to adjust the laser line brightness (three scales).

Maintenance
- The laser instrument has been carefully calibrated and packaged according to various precise specifications before leaving the factory.
- Itis recommended to perform accuracy test before the first-ime use and perform test regularly, especially under high accuracy requirements.
- Tum the product off and toggle the pendulum lock to the locked position when it is not in use
- I the manual mode, the out-of-range sensing will be turned off. The laser line in this mode cannot be used as a horizontal/vertical reference line.
- Keep the instrument out of the reach of children.
- Do not short-circuit the battery contacts or throw the battery into fire.
- Do not expose the meter to suniight or high temperatures. The meter shell and some parts are made of plastic, which may be damaged in high temperature environments.
- Clean the outer plastic parts with a damp cloth. It is not recommended to clean it with dissolvent. Wipe away moisture with a dry soft cloth before putting the meter into the box
- Store the meter properly in its pouch or package.
- Do not dispose the meter into housenold trash
- Dispose the battery or related electronic waste according to local laws and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) rules.
