The Kew Labs UTS-1 Invisible wireless charger – THIN is a wireless charging solution designed for kitchen countertops, kitchen islands, furniture, and bar tops. It features hidden phone charging to keep surfaces tidy and has a long- distance charging capability of 8 – 12 mm. The charger is compatible with all wirelessly charging enabled phones and supports AppleTM and SamsungTM fast charge protocols. It utilizes the patented Intelligent Power CommunicationTM (IPCTM) Technology and can be daisy-chained with another charger using the UTS-1TDC adapter.

Product Usage Instructions

To install the Kew Labs UTS-1 Invisible wireless charger – THIN:

1. Choose the desired installation thickness (8 mm, 12 mm, 20 mm, or 30 mm) based on your furniture or kitchen setup.
2. If using the provided screws, use them to secure the charger in place. Alternatively, use the pre-installed 3M VHB double-sided tape for fixing.
3. Ensure that the charger is set to the correct installation thickness setting according to the provided table.
4. Position your phone on the charger by aligning the center of the phone with the charging indicator.
5. Wait for 2 – 3 seconds for the phone to connect and start charging. Do not move the phone immediately if it does not connect right away.

For optimal usage and safety:

• Leave at least 5 cm (2 inches) clearance around the UTS-1 charger for ventilation.
• Avoid placing the charger and milling within 15 cm (6 inches) of heat sources, cut-outs, or other millings.
• Protect the charger from water sources like sinks as it is not waterproof.

Installation basics and tips

Routed installation
If surfaces are thicker than 1.2 cm, Cosentino® recommends to route in the UTS-1 charger to achieve the ideal thickness of 1.2 cm. Exceptionally, 8 mm thickness can be used (only for Dekton®) with the appropriate setting of the wireless charger.

The sizing guidelines below allow for extra cable area so the unit can be plugged in. If following a different routing shape please account for the power cable protrusion.

Design tips

• Ventilation allowances
  Wireless charging naturally produces a small amount of heat in both phone and charger. Do not direct cover the UTS-1 vent and leave at least 5 cm [2”] clearance.

• Heat proximity
  UTS-1 charger and the milling must not be located within 15 cm [6”] of a heat source such as hobs, pans, etc. Cut-outs proximity
  UTS-1 charger and the milling must not be located within 15 cm [6”] of a cut- out or another milling.

• Water protection
  UTS-1 is not waterproof so should be located with adequate protection or distance from water sources like sinks.

• High temperatures
  High environmental/room temperature affects wireless charging performance. Avoid mobile phones charging in direct sunlight or temperatures exceeding 30 ºC (86 ºF).

Installation and setup help
Ensure charger is set to correct setting in ‘installation thickness’ table

• Phone placement tip
  Align center of phone with charging indicator.

• Re-connecting your phone
  It can take 2 – 3 seconds for a phone to connect once placed on the charger. Do not immediately move the phone if it does not connect when placed down.
