Product Information

The Hubitat Elevation is a smart home hub that allows you to control and automate various devices in your home. It supports Zigbee and Z-Wave devices, providing seamless integration for a wide range of smart home products. The hub offers a user-friendly web interface and built-in apps for easy configuration and automation.

Product Setup Instructions

  1. Plug in the supplied ethernet cable to your network and then to the back of the hub.
  2. Plug in the supplied USB power cable to the hub and then to the supplied power plug.
  3. Plug in the power plug into an outlet, the light on the front of the hub should turn blue and is ready to be discovered.

Finding Your Hub

  1. Visit portal.hubitat.com.
  2. Click on “Find Hubs”, your new Hub should appear in the Hubitat Elevation list.
  3. Click the picture of the hub to go to the hub Web Interface.
  4. Review and agree to the Terms of Service.
  5. Read through a brief tutorial and helpful tips.
  6. Set up your location by naming your Hub and entering your postal code (optional, US/CAN/UK only).
  7. Click Save. You are now at the Main Menu of your Web Interface.

Registering Your Hub

  1. In the top right of your Web Interface, you will see a message in red, click on the link in the message to go to the registration page on your hub.
  2. Click the Continue button, this will take you to portal.hubitat.com.
  3. Login or create a new account if you haven’t already.
  4. After login, you will be redirected back to your hub once your hub is registered.
  5. You can add additional accounts by visiting My Hubs on portal.hubitat.com and clicking on your Hub to add other accounts. (Required for Cloud Services and Mobile App)

Discovering Zigbee and Z-Wave Devices

  1. Click the Discover Devices link in your Hubitat Elevation Web Interface.
  2. Factory Reset the device (check with manufacturer for instructions).
  3. Select the type of device you want to pair (check manufacturer for type).
  4. Put your device in pairing or join mode (check the manufacturer’s instructions).
  5. Within a few seconds, your device will appear on the Hubitat Elevation Web Interface. If not, make sure your device is within range of your hub (usually 30 ft. or less).
  6. Label your device and click Save.
  7. Repeat Steps 1-6 for additional devices.

Product Getting Automated

With all your devices connected, you can start automating them using the built-in apps or creating your own. To install an app:

  1. Click Apps.
  2. Click the Load New App button on the right.
  3. Choose any app from the built-in apps and click on the app you wish to install.
  4. Enjoy!

Support

Shutting Down Your Hub

We recommend shutting down your hub if you are going to unplug it or move it. To shut down your hub:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click Shutdown Hub.
  3. The green light on the front of the Hub will turn red, indicating it is safe to unplug your Hub.

Setup
