SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Intended use
The press is designed for pressing (juice extraction) pitted and ground or
crushed fruit such as grapes, apples or pears. The press is only suitable for
pressing with water pressure, not for pressing with air pressure.
General information
WARNING
Danger of explosion! The press may only be operated with water pressure, never
with air pressure. Otherwise, persons may be seriously injured and the unit
may be destroyed.
- To avoid an air buffer inside the membrane, push the vent piston downwards until the air has completely escaped and water escapes from the unit.
- The rubber membrane must be protected from sharp objects and sunlight, otherwise it will become brittle.
- Place the unit on a level and stable surface.
- To ensure a long service life of the diaphragm, the press should preferably be stored in a dark room protected from sunlight. Rubber products age faster and become brittle as a result of exposure to sunlight.
- The press may only be used for its intended purpose and in a technically perfect condition. Please check that the device is in perfect condition before each use.
- Children from the age of 8, mentally, sensory and physically handicapped persons may only use the device if they have been thoroughly familiarised with the functions and safety precautions by a supervisor responsible for them and understand the associated risks.
- Children may be injured by the packaging materials! Therefore, dispose of the packaging materials immediately.

ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
Before first use
Before first use, clean all components by rinsing them thoroughly with water.
Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning. Also clean the
press cloth thoroughly with water.
Assembly
Remove all packaging. Attach the legs (2) to the base frame (1) using the
screws supplied. Place the press as close as possible to a drain and water
connection.
Operation
Place the stainless steel press basket (7) on the base frame. Then insert the
press bag (12) into the press basket. Fold the press pocket at the bottom of
the press basket inwards. Fold the press pocket at the top of the press basket
outwards, which makes it easier to fill in the fruit mass.
Place a container under the water drain. The press can now be filled with the
fruit flesh. It is not necessary to fill the bag completely.
Fold the press bag over the flesh and place the lid (8) on it. Place the
washer on the spindle and fit the clamping nut (9). Then pull the splash guard
(13) over the press basket.
Connect the water inlet (4) to a water tap. Then open the water supply line.
The incoming water (max. 3 Bar) exerts pressure on the fruit mass.
Press the top of the vent valve (11) until the air is completely removed from
the membrane. The juice now flows through the press basket (7) into the juice
channel/juice outlet (10).
As soon as the water pressure has reached 3 Bar, the safety valve opens
automatically and water emerges from the bottom of the water drain (3). The
water pressure can be read from the manometer (5) and regulated via the tap.
Close the tap when the normal pressure is exceeded. When the pressure drops,
the tap can easily be opened again. The manometer is an easy way to monitor
the operation of the press. A control valve (pressure reducer) can be
advantageous here. As a rule, it is already preset to 3 Bar.
Now the tap can be closed again. Please wait until the juice has completely
drained off. Open the water drain (3) to empty the rubber membrane (6). Press
the vent valve again to fill the membrane with air. The draining water can be
collected in a container and later recycled to clean the fruit or irrigate the
garden.
As soon as the water no longer drains, the pressure in the press drops and the
clamping nut (9) can be loosened. Remove the washer and the cover (8). Remove
the splash guard, remove the press pocket and remove the pulp.
Tips
- Even more juice can be gained if the pressure is built up slowly in the starting phase. This leaves the flow path within the fruit pieces open. The pressure can be easily regulated by opening and closing the faucet.
- Pre-grind your fruit with a suitable mill to obtain the perfect flesh (not too fine and not too coarse). Too fine a fruit mass can cause problems with the press and makes it difficult to obtain the juice. A too coarse grinding also prevents an optimal juice yield.
- Before obtaining the juice, remove the stems from the grapes and squeeze them well.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Please clean the press as soon as possible after each use to prevent the sweet juices or fruit residues from drying in the press.
- Use only water and a brush/sponge or cloth to clean the press.
- Never use a wire brush or other abrasive cleaning equipment.
- The press cloth should also be thoroughly cleaned with water. The cloth can be washed in the washing machine with detergent and a low water temperature (max. 30 °C).
