Product Usage Instructions
Moving Exchange Codes (NXXs) to Deerpark NY CS2k Switch
- The Exchange Codes (NXXs) in NPA 516 currently residing in the Great Neck NY 5E switch will be moved to the Deerpark NY CS2k switch.
- Refer to Table A for specific details.
Rehoming of Native NPA NXXs
- The native NPA NXXs belonging to the Great Neck NY 5E switch will be rehomed upon decommissioning of the switch and reflected in the LERG for the Deerpark NY CS2k switch.
- This process will occur on or after January 2, 2025.
Network Changes and Trunk Rearrangements
- Traffic from the Great Neck NY 5E switch will be migrated to the Deerpark NY CS2k switch. Refer to Table B for the codes affected.
- Traffic bound for these codes will be delivered via the Deerpark DP03T Tandem.
Retirement Process
- After all traffic is migrated off the Great Neck NY 5E switch, the switch will be retired and removed from the network.

PLEASE NOTE
- All references to the Great Neck NY 5E switch are associated with CLLI code GRNKNYGNDS0 and will not be repeated throughout this letter.
- All references to the Deerpark NY CS2k switch are associated with CLLI code DRPKNYDPPS0 and will not be repeated throughout this letter.
- As set out in the Verizon New York Inc. Public Notice of Network Change under Rule 51.329(a), dated May 24, 2024, on or after January 2, 2025, the Great Neck NY 5E switch will be retired and removed from the Verizon network as part of ongoing efforts to modernize the network.
General Information
- The Exchange Codes (NXXs) in Numbering Plan Area (NPA) 516 currently residing in the Great Neck NY 5E switch (see list in Table B below) will be moved to the Deerpark NY CS2k switch (see details in Table A below).
- The native NPA NXXs belonging to the Great Neck NY 5E switch will be rehomed upon decommissioning of the switch and reflected in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG) for the Deerpark NY CS2k switch. This will occur on or after January 2, 2025.

Network Changes and Trunk Rearrangements
- The Deerpark NY CS2k switch will be the recipient office of traffic migrated from the Great Neck NY 5E switch. Traffic bound for the codes listed in Table B will be delivered via the DRPKNYDP03T Deerpark DP03T Tandem (DRPKNYDP03T intra-lata SHA / DRPKNYDP03T inter-lata FG Access SHA).
- After all traffic is migrated off the Great Neck NY 5E switch, this switch will be retired and removed from the network.
- CLECs, IXCs, IECs, wireless carriers, and paging carriers will need to secure new trunk groups built to the Deerpark NY CS2k switch or have existing trunk groups to that switch augmented. Carriers that have direct end office trunks (DEOT) with access connectivity in the Great Neck NY 5E switch will be required to reposition the codes to the Deerpark NY CS2k switch.
- All ASRs for the Deerpark NY CS2k switch must be received no later than November 1, 2024, to provide sufficient time to migrate the traffic described above. All traffic must be moved by January 2, 2025, per LERG. All ASRs for the Deerpark NY CS2k switch must carry the project code of GRNKNYGNDS0.
- Please adhere to industry standards using normal procedures that pertain to updates and changes to the LERG for all NXXs subject to the retirement of the Great Neck NY 5E switch.
