CORNSTALK Plywood Backer
Plywood Backer Installation Method*

Level and mount a sheet of exterior rated plywood (cut to the size of your quilt) to your wall using appropriate fasteners for the wall surface material.
Make sure to countersink the screw or nail heads.

Attach one of the bottom quilt panel to the plywood using four screws per panel.
The corners of each panel have been pre-drilled for your convenience. -
Repeat step 2 for the 3 remaining three panels.
Directly On Wall Installation Method*

Mark a level horizontal line as a guide for the bottom edge of the quilt.

Attach one of the bottom quilt panel to the wall using appropriate fasteners for the wall surface material.
The corners of each panel have been pre-drilled for your convenience.

Repeat step 2 for the remaining three panels.
Vinyl Siding Installation Method*
Option 1
Use “no-drill vinyl siding hooks”.
These are available from major online retailers and home improvement stores.

Furring Strip Installation Method*

Level and attach a ledger board to your wall using appropriate fasteners for the surface material.
If the surface is not flat (steel or lap siding) use shims as needed.

Attach vertical furring strips every 12” to line up with pre-drilled holes in the quilt panels.
Center furring strip may need to be wider than edge strips in order to support the seam between panels.

Rest one bottom panel on the ledger board and attach to furring strips using four screws per panel.
The corners of each panel have been pre-drilled for your convenience.

Repeat step 3 for the remaining three panels.
Remove ledger board.
