IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING

  • Only use this Kerosene Heater on a hard, level, non-combustible, stable surface (concrete, ground etc.) capable of supporting the weight of the Kerosene Heater. Never use on wooden surface or other surfaces that could burn.
  • Proper clearance of 1.5m between the Kerosene Heater and combustible material (bushes, trees, wooden decks, fences, buildings, etc.) or construction should be maintained at all times when Kerosene Heater is in use. Do not place Kerosene Heater under a roof overhang or other enclosed area. Not adhering to these clearances will prevent proper ventilation and may increase the risk of a fire and/or property damage, which could also result in personal injury.
  • This Kerosene Heater is not a toy and is not designed to be operated by or played with by children.
  • This Kerosene Heater is not suitable for use by children or persons with a physical or mental condition unless this is under supervision.
  • For outdoor use only. Do not operate Kerosene Heater indoors or in an enclosed area.
  • For household use only. Do not use this Kerosene Heater for other than its intended purpose.
  • Do not use gasoline, diesel or alcohol for lighting the Kerosene Heater. Use of any of these or similar products could cause an explosion possibly leading to severe bodily injury.
  • Place Kerosene Heater in an area where children and pets cannot come into contact with appliances. Close supervision is necessary when Kerosene Heater is in use.
  • Do not leave Kerosene Heater unattended when in use.
  • Do not store or use Kerosene Heater near gasoline or other flammable liquids, gases or where flammable vapors may be present.
  • Use caution when assembling and operating your Kerosene Heater to avoid scrapes or cuts from sharp edges of metal parts. Use caution when lighting the Kerosene Heater.
  • In windy weather, place Kerosene Heater in an outdoor area that is protected from the wind.
  • Protect the Kerosene Heater from rain and the elements.
  • Never move Kerosene Heater when in use.
  • We advise that a fire extinguisher be on hand. Refer to your local authority to determine proper size and type of fire extinguisher.
  • Store the Kerosene Heater out of reach of children and in a dry location when not in use.
  • Properly dispose of all packaging material.
  • Only use kerosene fuel in your Kerosene Heater.
  • Wipe up all spilt fuel immediately.

USE CAUTION AND COMMON SENSE WHEN  OPERATING YOUR KEROSENE HEATER. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO SAFETY WARNING AND GUIDELINES IN THIS MANUAL COULD RESULT IN BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. SAVE THIS MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

Cleaning and Care

CAUTION: All cleaning and maintenance should be done when Kerosene Heater is cool. Check the Kerosene Heater regularly to ensure it is safe to use. If there is any sign of damage DO NOT use until repairs are made. Abrasive cleaners will damage this product. Never use oven cleaner to clean any part of Kerosene Heater. Never allow water to enter the wick area as this will damage the wick. Never allow water to enter the fuel tank, as this will not mix with kerosene and will cause the fuel tank to possibly rust and the kerosene will not burn correctly.

  1. Wipe surfaces clean with mild dishwashing detergent and a moist soft cloth.
  2. Wipe clean.
    It is quite normal for the Kerosene Heater to develop an aged look after use.

Storage

  • When not in use store in a dry location, away from the elements.
  • Do not store or use Kerosene Heater near gasoline or other flammable liquids, gases or where flammable vapors may be present.

Assembly Instructions

For Easiest Assembly: Your Kerosene Heater come fully assembled. Please dispose of all packaging material in an environmentally responsible manner.
Note: Ensure all packaging material is removed from the heater before use.

Operating Instructions

For Easiest Assembly:
This Kerosene Heater is designed for use with kerosene fuel. Before first use make sure all packaging and protective films have been removed from the Kerosene Heater. also ensure you have read and understood these user instructions.

Filling The Reservoir:

  1. Ensure that the Kerosene Heater is OFF and cooled before filling up the fuel tank.
  2. Open the fuel tank cap, use a funnel (not supplied) and fill until the fuel gauge is at ‘F’, do not over fill. Note: Wipe up any spills before turning on.
  3. Never run the Kerosene Heater out of fuel as it may damage the wick.

Warning:
Warning: It is important that you read this manual before using this Kerosene Heater. Keep this manual in a safe place. Only use this product in a well- ventilated outdoor area. Do not use indoors.
Note: When you use the appliance for the first time you must wait 10 minutes until the wick is soaked with fuel. If the wick is lit before it is properly soaked, it will burn with heavy smoke with and odor as a consequence of the wick not being soaked.

  1. Lift and tilt the burner handle/unit so the wick area is visible.
  2. Rotate the wick control knob to the right till you can see the wick.
  3. Light the wick.
  4. Drop the burner handle/unit back onto the body.
  5. Move the burner handle to the left and right to check that the burner unit is in the correct position.
  6. Rotate the wick control knob to the right for a more intense glow, to the left for a less intense glow.
  7. As the kerosene heater warms up and glows, gradually turn the wick control knob to the required position.
    Note: Avoid fast rotations of the wick control knob as this can cause a burst of flame.
    Warning: Never move the appliance while it is working. Never leave a working appliance unattended.

Turning Off

  1. Rotate the wick control knob fully to the left, the flame will extinguish after approximately 3 minutes.
    Note: Allow the appliance to fully cool for about 30 minutes, before moving or storing

Wick Replacement

Note: When replacing the wick it is recommended that you wear gloves and change it in an outdoor area.

  1. Loosen the 3 dome head nuts of the guard and remove.

  3. Pull the knob away from the heater, and then undo the nut behind the control button.
  4. Pull the control system out of the appliance.
  5. Remove the wick and replace it with a wick of the same type and size. Make sure that the new wick is in the same position as the old one.
  6. Place the wick in the heater and position the control system. The end of the control button must again fit in the slot.
  7. Tighten the control system nut and push the knob back in place.
  8. Replace the burner unit and tighten the 4 wing nuts.
  9. Replace the guard and tighten the 3 dome nuts. Your Kerosene Heater is now ready for use again.
