- Place the container on a stable and dry working surface.
- Remove the cutting rotor from its protective case.
- Put the lifting aid on the table, it must be stable (otherwise just turn it). Hold the wing with one hand and with the other hand hold the cutting rotor on the fixed wing and the blades in the same position as the fixed wing (light green), then push the cutting rotor from the top on the lifiting aid. It will lift up the herbs, garlic, chili from the bottom of the container and chop it very finely. Remove lifting aid when using other ingredients. – fig. C
- Place the cutting rotor in the container with the blades above one another to optimize the space for the ingredients you want to chop. – fig. D, E
- Cut the big ingredients such as carrots or onions in a piece shorter than the length of the blades so that they will not block the blades of the cutting rotor.
- Then place them in the container while making sure that the cutting rotor will remain straight.
- Place the lid on the container making sure that the hexagon on the cutting rotor fits into the recess in the lid.
- Place one hand on top of the lid to hold the appliance down on the working surface. Then use the other hand to grip the pull mechanism on the lid.
- The first pulling motion needs to be done with strength and speed. Execute this motion always in an horizontal way.
- Maintain your grip while the pulling mechanism retracts and do not let it go.
- If the blades of the cutting rotor become blocked, do not force. Remove the cutting rotor to carefully remove the ingredients and cut them in smaller pieces before putting back the cutting rotor in the container taking care of the alignment of the blades to optimize the volume available.
- The transparent container let you see the fineness of the cutting. Repeat the pulling until you get the expected result. You need about 5 pulls for a first level of chopping but it will also depend of the type of ingredient.
Cleaning
All parts are dishwasher-safe except the lid that you have to handwash or clean with a sponge while avoiding to put water on the pull mechanism, that is to say without immersing it in the sink. However, if water does get inside the lid accidentely, use a coin to unscrew the drain at the base of the lid and remove the water. Then, let it dry for several hours. Once it is dry, close the drain again. Do not unscrew or open any other parts on the lid, danger of injury.
Safe storage of the cutting rotors
First, place the lower cutting blade of the rotor in its protective case. Then rotate the plastic axle above the second cutting blade until the blade is in the correct position and press it into the protective case. Be careful not to injure yourself on the sharp blades. The holes-blades are not sharp
