About this User Guide
- Please read and follow these instructions before installing and operating the system. If any part of this user guide is not clear, you may contact technical support for clarification.
- This user guide provides the information necessary to install and use the Noomi device, Noomi Cradle (wall-mount) and Noomi Sensor Unit. For integration with the remote display, registration of your device and sending information to the Cloud, please refer to the online integration guide:

General Safety Guidelines
- Install the EarlySense Noomi device according to the manufacturer’s instructions
- Do not cover or block any ventilation openings of the device
- Do not install the device near any heat sources such as radiators, lighted candles, ovens, stoves or other devices that produce heat.
- Keep the Noomi device and its components dry, do not use it near water.
- Clean the device and its’ components only according to the manufacturer’s instructions
- EarlySense Noomi device is intended for indoor use only. Do not use the system outdoors without proper protection against mist or rain.
- Use Noomi device only with Noomi cradle and Noomi Sensors; usage of non-suitable components or accessories can be dangerous and can damage the device.
- If the sensor connecting cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord available from the manufacturer or the service agent.
- If the device was dropped, or water was spilled on it – check it for the damage. Do not use a damaged device, specifically if the power cord or power plug was damaged. The use of damaged components might result in the malfunctioning of the system and can be dangerous.
- Do not open the covers of the device, cradle or sensors, do not try to service or repair the device. The device should be serviced and repaired by qualified personnel.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on, pulled, pinched or torn, particularly at plugs and at the point of connection to the Noomi.
- Use and store the device only at the allowed operation and storage conditions, do not dispose it to an extreme cold, hot or humid environment
- Mounting the Cradle to the wall should be performed by mechanical experts of the institution or qualified personnel. EarlySense Ltd. is not responsible for any harm or damage related to the wrongful attachment.
- Do not place Noomi device over the head of the person lying in bed to avoid possible damage
- The mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
EarlySense Noomi Components
The system consists of a Noomi Device, Noomi Sensor, connected by a cable and
wall-mount accessory (Noomi cradle).
Noomi Cradle is an accessory to allow mounting the EarlySense Noomi device to
the wall by screws. By using the Noomi Cradle, it is possible to locate the
EarlySense Noomi device at any convenient place, and not necessarily at a
vacant power socket.
CAUTION
Do not place the Noomi device directly above the head of the person lying
in the bed.
Installing Noomi Cradle
- Install Noomi Cradle on the wall using screws:
- Remove the caps located on the Cradle’s front panel (3 caps)
- Use the screws and the wall plugs available in the Cradle package in order to fix the Cradle to the wall
- Place the caps back in their holes
- Attach the EarlySense Noomi device to the Cradle as shown in the illustrations below (a click should be heard when the Noomi device is properly seated in the Cradle).

- Plug the power cable to the power outlet. After the Noomi, the device is connected to the Cradle, and both are secured to the wall, it is now safe to operate the bedside device. Now position and connect Noomi Sensor to the Noomi device.
Positioning the Noomi Senor Unit
- Take the Noomi Sensor with the EarlySense Noomi label facing up
- Place it horizontally under the patient’s mattress and under the chest area.
- Secure Sensor’s cord is at the top of the bed, to prevent tripping while the person exits the bed.

Cleaning and disinfecting Noomi Device and Sensing Unit
Clean Noomi device, Noomi Cradle and Noomi Sensor with soft wipes containing
alcohol, Chlorhexidine, Peroxide and bleach material or slightly damp
cloth/wipes containing anti-septic substances. Dry it before use.
CAUTION Never open the Noomi Device or Noomi Cradle housing as this may damage it. Handle the Noomi with care. Do not drop, knock, or shake it. Do not clean the device while in use, first detach it from the power supply. Avoid splashing liquids on any part of the system.
