OVERVIEW
Taxonomy provides a quick and easy solution for labeling and tracking your assets starting at the point of origination. The GBP-2002 Gateway is used as part of the asset origination and full visibility Trackonomy infrastructure. It is communicates wirelessly with nearby infrastructure devices like plugs and tagged movable assets. It has cellular connectivity to connect with the Internet to transmit information.
INSTALLATION
Gateways are typically installed in a central, elevated location that is ideally within 1000-1500 ft of all intended plug locations (distance can be up to half a mile with direct line of site). Multiple gateways can be used to cover larger facilities.

Power on the Tablet, then open the Trackonomy app.

In the app menu select the “Plug Table” option.

This will open the “Plug Table” screen.

Click on the “Add plugs” bar.

At the top, a new row will be added that you can use to add a new gateway.

Click the green “Scan” QR Code button.

When the Scan window opens, use the Tablet to Scan the QR code of the new gateway.

Hold the QR code in the lighter area of the Scan window and move it so that the blue bar is centered in the middle of the QR code. Hold the QR and tablet steady and ideally perpendicular to each other.

When the QR code is recognized, the tablet will automatically return to the Plug Table and populate the QR column with the QR code information.

Scroll to the right and look for the “Location” column. We will now set the gateway location on the facility map that was preloaded in the app.

Click on the “Set New Location” button.

In the pop-up window, click on the “Get Map” button.

If the correct facility has not been selected before, click on the black triangle above and to the right of the “Get Map” button to select a different facility from the drop-down menu.

In the “Map” window you will see a map of your location.

Find the location on the map where you will be installing the gateway and tap the location on the screen with your finger to mark it with a pin.
Note: You can pinch to zoom in or out and drag the map around to scroll to your target location on the map. -
Once you have placed a pin the screen will return to the “Plug Table”.

After setting the location you will notice that the facility name is now populated in the “Facility” column.

Now click on the table cell under the “Plug Name” column to set the plug name.

An input field and the tablet on screen keyboard will pop-up and you can enter a descriptive name for your gateway.

After you enter the gateway name, e.g. “Gateway Test” you are now ready to plug in the gateway and take a picture of its location.

Plug in the gateway into a power socket and place it in its installation location.

Look for the “Image” column in the Trackonomy app and click on the green “Upload” button.

The camera screen will open. Click the white circle on the right side of the tablet screen to take a picture of the gateway location.
Note: When taking a picture make sure it includes contextual visibility, e.g. include sufficient surrounding area, to facilitate the finding of the device at a later time. -
Click “OK” to accept the image or “Retry” to take another picture.

The screen will return to the Plug Table and you will now see the text “View Image” underneath the green “Upload” button in the Location column.

The installation of your gateway is complete. You can now install additional gateways or move on to the next step to install a plug.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and
on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more
of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
