FAQs

• Q: Can the heater be installed outside the vehicle?
  • A: The heater is mainly designed for installation inside the vehicle. If necessary, it can be installed under the underside of the vehicle with caution.
• Q: How do I know if my switch has Bluetooth function?
  • A: The high-end switch comes with Bluetooth function for remote operation. Standard switches do not have Bluetooth capability.

SAFETY INSTRUCTION

1. The following measures shall not be adopted
   • Change the important component of the diesel heater.
   • Make use of spare parts from other manufacturers without permission.
   • Disobey the instruction and guide during installation or operation.
2. Only allow using original attachments and spare parts during installation and maintenance.
3. The heaters shall not be used in places where they may form flammable vapour or dust, for example:
   • Fuel depot
   • Carbon storehouse
   • Timber storehouse
   • Granary and similar sites
   • Diesel/petrol station
   • And keep away from fuel tanks, compression tanks, fire extinguishers, clothes, or other flammable objects.
4. Do not use cigarette lighter for startup.
5. Do not use the heater in closed and/or unventilated places.
6. The heaters shall be turned off when filling fuel.
7. Do not cut off the electric power in operation.
8. If the fuel leaks or discharges from the fuel system of heaters, please contact us for repair.
9. Place the exhaust outlet outside to prevent any penetration of exhaust fumes.
10. In the process of work, it is forbidden to cut off the electric power directly to stop the heater from working.
11. Seal all gaps between the mounting plate and the car body.
12. The machine will stop heating after over-temperature protection. Please do not power off. After the machine is naturally cooled and turned off, it can be restarted.
13. After turning off the machine, please do not immediately disconnect the power supply. It takes 3-5 minutes for the machine to stop working completely.
14. After starting the machine for 3-5 minutes, it will work normally and heat up. Please wait patiently.
15. When the heater is just started, the current is relatively high, so an adapter with a voltage of 12V and a current of 15A or greater is required for the power supply.

PRODUCT FUNCTION

1. The diesel heater (hereinafter referred to as the heater) is independent of the original engine system. It makes use of a 12V direct current to drive. There are two kinds of control modes for the heater: Automatic control mode and Manual control mode. The heater adopts light diesel which corresponds to the environmental temperature as fuel, and it can be started and operated normally at the temperature of above-40N. The inhaled fresh air is heated to hot air through the heat exchanger by the energy which comes from fuel burning, then blown to where it is needed. This type of heater has the advantage of compact structure, lightweight, high thermal efficiency, economize on electricity and fuel, and easy installation.
2. The heater gets rid of damage to the car caused by the sudden drop in temperature, improves the temperature inside the car, and preheats the engine coolant to avoid engine wear at low temperatures. Conducive to car interior thawing, car start, and car glass defrost fog.

INTERNAL STRUCTURE

INSTALLATION POSITION

1. On the co-driver’s legroom.

2. On the back wall of the cab.

3. Driver’s seat backrest.

4. Within the toolbox.

5. In front of the passenger seat.

6. Between the driver seat and passenger seat.

7. 3&4 under the container.

8. In the trunk.

The heater is mainly installed in the passenger room or baggage room of the vehicle. If it cannot be installed, fix the heater under the underside of the vehicle, but beware of splashing.

1. Inside the driver’s seat.
2. On the back wall of the cab.

Warning:

1. The air inlet shall not be blocked, and keep the inlet open and clear.
2. Keep the exhaust pipe clear. The exhaust pipe outlet shall be kept away from anything flammable, and avoid heating and igniting the flammable goods and loading cargo on the ground.
3. To ensure optimal combustion, please remember that the smoke exhaust pipe cannot be placed upward, but must be placed horizontally or downward.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

• After starting the machine for 3-5 minutes, it will work normally and heat up. Pleasewaitpatiently
• There are two types of switchs, the standard one without Bluetooth function and the high-end one with Bluetooth function.

High-undone with Bluetooth Function

1. Key Description

Operation Declaration

1. Turn on/off the heater: Press the “ ” to turn on or turn off the heater.
2. Change the operation mode： Press the “adjusting knob” to switch the current level mode/temperature control mode.
3. Level/temperature : adjustment: Turn the “adjusting knob” clockwise to make the level/temperature +1, and the highest value is level 0 10 / 36 ℃; Turn the “adjusting knob” counterclockwise to make the level/temperature -1, and the lowest value is level 1 / 8 ℃.

Operation Mode Declaration

The heater has 2 operating modes: level model, and temperature control mode.

1. In the temperature control mode, the heater automatically adjusts the output power based on the temperature difference between the setting temperature and the room temperature. When the temperature rises or falls, the control switch will automatically adjust the operating level to quickly reach the setting temperature, so that the heater operation of the heater is more intelligent and economic. In the temperature control mode, the adjustable range of the setting temperature is 8~36℃. You can turn the “adjusting knob” to adjust the setting temperature. In the level mode, the adjustable level range is 1-10. You can turn the “adjusting knob” to adjust the level. You can check the current level of the machine and the level is shown at the bottom of the screen (the Bar chart).
2. Change the operation mode: You can switch between level mode and temperature control mode by pressing the “adjusting knob”.
3. When there is a fault in the operation, the screen displays the fault code ( flashed ), so you can find the problem more accurately and intuitively.

Remote Control Matching

1. When the machine turns on, press “ “ 3 seconds to start matching until the upper right corner of the screen shows “En00”.
2. Then turn the “adjusting knob”, the screen to show “En08” and “rtE”, next press the “adjusting knob” for 3 seconds until the screen show “P1”.
   • ( Note： P1 can be paired with the ”+” key on the remote controller, P2 can be paired with the ”-” key, P3 can be paired with the “M” key, and P4 can be paired with the “ ” Key.
3. Press the corresponding key of the remote controller according to the numerical value (P1-P4) displayed on the screen, the machine will be successfully matched with the remote control, and the next matching state.

Bluetooth Function

1. Bluetooth Matching Search and download the corresponding APP name “airHeaterBLE” in the iOS or Android app store, then please follow the below steps to connect and control the heater with the mobilephone.
2. Specific Operation
   • Query the Bluetoothn ame:
   • When the heater turns on, press “ the “ key and “adjusting knob” 3s, and the screen displays “bLE”, the upper side of the screen displays the 6-digit character name (0-F), and the 6-digitcharacteris Bluetooth name.
3. Connect to the mobile phone via Bluetooth: Click on the Bluetooth symbol “ “ in the upper right corner, and find the corresponding local Bluetooth number: BYD+MAC address of the Bluetooth device+4 digits

5. Long press the “ ” button to turn on/ turn off the heater.
6. Click the “Mode” button to switch the level mode or smart mode (temperature control mode), then Click the” ” button to increase or decrease the level value (level1-10) / temperature value (8°℃ ~36°℃).
7. Click the “ ” button to go to the settings screen, you can set the language (English/Chinese), and password and click “save” to save the settings.
8. Fault display: When the heater fails, it will display the fault code “E-xx”, see the fault table for details.

Other Function

1. Basic Setting

   • When the machine turns on, press “ ” key for 3 seconds to enter the basic setting interface, the upper left corner shows the setting items and the interface shows the specific data under the setting items.

   • Press the “adjusting knob” to modify, and press the “adjusting knob” again to confirm the current data modification.

   • Turn the “adjusting knob” to adjust the setting items, after all the adjustments are successful, long press “ ” key 3s to save all the basic settings.

   • F0: Currenttime

   • F1: Auto-starttime

   • F2: Running time[afterauto-start]

   • F3: Auto-start switch setting

   • F4: Language switch[Chinese(C),English(E),Russian( )

   • F5: Temperature compensation
     F6: Tank volume[5-50L][display—on behalf of not monitoring the tank situation]

   • F7: Oil pump power [16/22/28/32UL(defaultis22UL)]

   • F8: Bluetooth switch

   • F9: Automatic start/stop heater: In temperature control mode, when the ambient temperature reaches the setting temperature, it will automatically turn off after 30s delay; when the ambient temperature is lower than the setting temperature by 2℃, it will automatically turn on after 30 seconds delay)
