1-47 LG Refrigerator Main Error Codes

For Sensor Related Errors (EFS, ErS, ESS, EIS, FdS, Ert, EHS, EId, EIO, rdS, ECS, SSE, rtE, ISE, HSE, dSF, EdS):

  • Troubleshooting Steps:
    • Check the sensor’s wiring harness for any signs of damage or loose connections and secure or replace as necessary.
    • Use a multimeter to check the sensor for continuity. If it shows an open circuit or an irregular resistance value, replace the sensor.
    • Ensure the sensor is properly positioned and not obstructed by any items or frost build-up.

For Motor and Fan Errors (EFF, EIF, ECF, ErF, FFE, CFE):

  • Troubleshooting Steps:
    • Inspect the fan motor for any debris or ice buildup that may be obstructing its movement and clean as necessary.
    • Check the fan motor’s wiring for damage or disconnections and repair or replace as needed.
    • Test the fan motor with a multimeter for continuity. If the motor does not show continuity, it may need to be replaced.

For Ice Maker and Motor Malfunctions (EIt, EIU, EIC, Elt, ItE):

  • Troubleshooting Steps:
    • Ensure the ice maker is properly connected and there is no obstruction in the ice maker compartment.
    • Check the motor for any signs of wear or failure. Replace if necessary.
    • Verify the water supply to the ice maker is sufficient and the fill tube is not frozen.

For Defrosting Issues (FdH, dHF):

  • Troubleshooting Steps:
    • Verify the defrost sensor’s operation using a multimeter. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.
    • Inspect the defrost heater and thermostat for functionality. If either component is defective, replace it.
    • Ensure the evaporator coils are not overly frosted over. If so, manually defrost the refrigerator and check if the automatic defrost cycle operates properly.

For Communication Errors (ECO, ESd, EC1, ErC1, COE):

  • Troubleshooting Steps:
    • Check the connections between the main control board and the display panel or sub MICOM. Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion.
    • Reset the refrigerator by unplugging it for a minute and then plugging it back in.
    • If the error persists, the main control board or the display panel may need to be replaced.

For Wi-Fi and Electronic Errors (EOd, EUC):

  • Troubleshooting Steps:
    • Reset the Wi-Fi modem and ensure the refrigerator is properly connected to your home network.
    • Check the UV LED module and its connections for any signs of damage or poor connection.
    • If the error persists, consider replacing the affected module or consult with a technician for further electronic diagnostics.

For Leakage and Cycle Errors (ECH, ECL):

  • Troubleshooting Steps:
    • Inspect the refrigerator for visible signs of refrigerant leakage.
    • Check the compressor and valves for proper operation. If you suspect a leak or malfunction, professional service is recommended due to the complexity of refrigerant systems.

LRTNC0705V Specific Error Codes

Refrigerator Sensor Error, Defrost Sensor Error, Room Temp Sensor Error:

  • Similar to the main error codes, check the respective sensors for continuity, correct positioning, and clean any obstruction. Replace the sensor if found defective.

Defrost Failure:

  • Verify the operation of the defrost system as mentioned in the main error codes section. Focus on the defrost heater, thermostat, and sensor.

Knob Dial Error:

  • Check the knob dial for physical damage or misalignment.
  • Test the resistance of the knob dial with a multimeter. If the resistance is outside the normal range, replace the knob dial.

Freezer Fan Motor Failure:

  • Follow the troubleshooting steps outlined for fan motor errors in the main error codes section to address freezer fan motor issues.
