Product Description
The MVS-8 is a 1RU rack mount monitor with eight 2″ displays. It features 8x 3G-SDI Inputs, 8x 3G-SDI Loopouts, Audio Meters, Time Stamp, Custom Text Overlay, and comes with a 2-year Warranty.
Control Software
- Connect your PC’s RS422 port to the MVS-8.
- Power up the unit and launch the PC software MVS8_Controls.exe.
- In Com Settings, select the serial interface and click the Open button to open the serial port.
- Choose the monitor you want to control.
- The following settings can be changed:
- Brightness control
- Contrast control
- Time code switch
- Level meter function switch
- UMD switch function
- To apply the settings, click the Data Send button.

RS422 Control Software
- Connect your PC’s RS422 port to MVS MVS-8, Power Up the unit and launch the PC software “ MVS8_Controls.exe exe” which is available for download at www.ospreyvideo.com
- In Com Settings, select the serial interface, click the Open button to o pen the serial port.
- Choose the monitor you want to control.
- The following settings can be changed:
- Brighness control
- Contrast control
- Time code switch
- Level meter function switch
- UMD switch function. Enables the user to add text overlay to each display up to 32 half-width characters. Click the Data Send button to apply the setting.
