Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl
and during cleaning.
- This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

- This product is intended for grinding small quantities of coffee beans, spices, pepper or other foodstuff.
- This product is intended for household use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
- This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
- No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use or non compliance with these instructions.
Before First Use
- Check the product for transport damages.
- Clean the product before first use.
- Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product rating label.

Operation
6.1 Filling the hopper
NOTICE Do not grind more than 60 g of coffee beans at a time.
- Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
- Remove the lid (A).
- Fill the hopper (C) with coffee beans. Do not exceed the MAX marking.
- Place the lid (A) on the hopper (C).
NOTICE Align the triangle marking (B) on the lid (A) with the notch on
the main body (D).
6.2 Switching on/off
CAUTION Risk of injury!
Do not remove the lid (A) until the blades (E) come to a complete stop.
NOTICE Do not operate the appliance for more than 45 seconds at a time.
Let the appliance cool down for 3 minutes before resuming operation.
- To switch on, press and hold the lid (A).
- To switch off, release the lid (A).
6.3 Operation tips
- For the freshest, most flavorful coffee, grind only the amount of beans you need for the next brew. Grind the coffee beans just before brewing.
- Fresh beans ensure the best flavor and aroma.
- Unused coffee beans can be stored in an airtight container in a freezer for up to 2 months. Coffee beans can be grounded while still frozen.
- Coffee grounds left in the hopper (C) can become stale and can affect the flavor of freshly ground coffee beans. Empty and clean the hopper (C) after each use.
- For best effects, only grind dry coffee beans.
- There are 3 coffee grind types:
Type | Grinding time | Application |
---|---|---|
Coarse | 8-10 seconds | Large chunks of coffee beans. Use for percolators and |
coffee urns.
Medium| 10-15 seconds| Use for drip coffee makers and steam-type espresso
machines.
Fine| 30 seconds| Use for espresso machines with an electric pump.
Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING Risk of electric shock!
- To prevent electric shock, unplug the product before cleaning.
- During cleaning do not immerse main body the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
7.1 Cleaning
- To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
- Use a small, dry brush (not provided) to dislodge dry particles around the blades (E).
- Dry the product after cleaning.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
7.2 Storage
Store the product in its original packaging in a dry area. Keep away from
children and pets.
7 .3 Maintenance
Any other servicing than mentioned in this manual should be performed by a
professional repair centre.
