It’s not ideal meaning it won’t work on everything. Tried to open a jar with a taper to the lid and it wouldn’t work but the right type of jar and it works fine.

They do not recommend it, because of the pressure it puts on the sides of the jar. If a plastic jar was a thick, sturdy jar; I don’t know.

It is not electric in the sense that it has a cord that is plug in. It is powerd by two aa batteries. The older I get the more I appreciate it.

How do I fix when it stopped working?
mine has never stopped so i’m not sure I would try taking out the batteries and maybe replacing them see if that works.
