Product Information
The product is a set of doors with glass panels. The glass panels are fragile and can break if they come into contact with hard surfaces. The doors need to be installed by two individuals.
Product Usage Instructions
- Place the doors on the floor in a way that they open upwards. Then, one of the installers should hold the glass panel open while the other removes the transportation strip. If you want to change the direction of the door opening, move the hinges to the opposite side.
- To prevent the glass from breaking during installation, place cardboard packaging under the doors on the floor.
- Carefully lift the doors vertically, with one installer holding the glass panel open and the other supporting the doors by the hinges. This is necessary to mount the doors in the door frame.
- During installation, use a screwdriver and, if necessary, adjust the door position using shims. Start by securing the hinge side of the door frame. Then, when closing the glass panel, check if the other side of the door frame is properly installed and if the doors close tightly.
- Install horizontal supports between the hinges and fill the gaps between the door frame and the wall with construction foam.
- Depending on the hinge type, adjust the position of the glass panel using an adjustment screw and/or by loosening the screws holding the glass, then move it to the desired position.
- If the door set includes a roller lock and it needs adjustment during installation, you can do so by turning the roller lock adjustment screw so that it operates freely while ensuring that the doors close securely.
- Select door handles and any additional decorative elements for installation at the provided locations.
To ensure long-lasting performance of the doors, it is recommended to regularly clean the glass with glass cleaner. Occasionally, adjust and lubricate the hinges and lock as needed.
ATTENTION! PLEASE HANDLE AND INSTALL THE DOOR CAREFULLY, AS TEMPERED GLASS MAY SHATTER IF CORNERS AND EDGES COME INTO CONTACT WITH HARD SURFACES!
Installation Instructions
Installing the door requires two people!
- Place the door flat on the floor so the direction the glass opens in is facing upward. Next, one person holds the door by the glass in an open position, while the other person removes the edge guard used for shipping. If you want to change the direction the door opens in, the second person must move the lintel to the other side of the jambs.
- To avoid breaking the glass during installation, place the door’s cardboard packaging on the floor of the doorway to provide a softer surface.
- With one person holding the door glass in an open position and the other person holding the door by the jambs, carefully carry the door to the doorway and place the door in the doorway.
- When installing the jambs use a level and if required adjust the position of the jambs with wedges. First, use screws to secure the jamb that is attached to the glass to the doorway. Then, by closing the glass door it is possible to check the proper positioning of the other jambs in the doorway and to ensure that the door can be closed freely.
- Mount the horizontal crossbeams on the jamb, and seal the cracks between the jamb and the doorway with spray foam.
- Depending on the type of hinges, it may be possible to adjust the position of the glass forward or backward by adjusting the inner bolts of the hinges and/or releasing the main bolts of the hinges and shifting the glass by the desired amount.
- If the door kit includes a roller latch and it is necessary to adjust this during installation, then this can be done by adjusting the latch’s bolt so it works smoothly but the door can still remain tightly shut.
- Install the door handle, the hinge cover caps and the covers for the jamb fasteners. To ensure that the door lasts for years to come, we recommend regularly washing the door with glass cleaning agents and adjusting the hinges if needed so the door can easily be opened and closed.
