- About This Variety: Spiraea Empire® Ice Dragon™, Spiraea japonica ‘Iceconspir’ PP33,786 features pink flowers on burgundy tipped, blue-green foliage . Foliage is what sets this variety apart. New growth emerges a deep burgundy against blue-green older foliage for a striking contrast. Pink flowers start late spring and at times re-bloom throughout the season. It is known to be low maintenance and performs nicely in the landscape. Asexual propagation without proper authorization is prohibited.
- Growing Instructions: Dig a hole about a 12” deep and 12” wide. Place the plant in the hole, spreading out the roots, and fill half full with soil. Water. After water has drained, fill the rest of the hole with the remaining soil. Water thoroughly again and continue doing so regularly. Fertilization may be necessary
Care Tip: Prune as needed immediately after flowering.
