ABOUT VINTAGE 1844 Chronograph Watch
Specifications
- Caliber: MIYOTA OS21
- Battery / Battery life: Recommended battery life of approximately 3 years
- Glass: Domed Sapphire Crystal with anti-reflective coating
- Water Resistance: 5 ATM – Water tested to 50 Meters, suitable for showering and swimming in shallow water (without leather strap)
How to Set Time
- Pull the crown out to the 2nd click position.
- Turn the crown clockwise to set the hour and minute hand.
- Push the crown back into the normal position.
Setting the Date
- Pull the crown out to the 1st click position.
- Turn the crown clockwise to set the date. If setting the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, be aware the date may not change the following day.
- Push the crown back into the normal position.
Using the Chronograph
The chronograph can measure and display time in 1/4-second units up to a
maximum of 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
Measuring Time with the Stopwatch
- Press button A to start the chronograph. The chronograph can be started and stopped each time button A is pressed.
- Press button B to reset the chronograph minute and seconds hands. The hands will return to their zero positions.
Chronograph Reset (Including After Replacing Battery)
- Pull the crown out to the 2nd click position.
- Press button A to set the chronograph second hand to zero position. The hand can be rapidly advanced by continuously pressing button A.
- Once the hands are set at zero position, reset the time and return the crown to its normal position.

- In 1844 the chronograph was updated to include the reseting feature, which allowed successive measurements. We designed the dial of our model 1844 with numbers and precision lines to make each timing (and reset) to be spot on accurate.

HOW TO SET TIME
- Pull the crown out to the 2nd click position

- Turn the crown clockwise to set the date. (If the date i set between the hours of 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, the date may not change the following day)
- Push the crown back into normal position.

This chronograph is able to measure and display time in 1/4 second united up to maximum of 59 min. 59 sec.
MESSURING TIME WITH THE STOPWATCH
- Press button “A” to start the chronograph
- The chronograph can be started and stopped each time button “A” is pressed.
- Press button “B” to reset the chronograph minute and seconds hands.
- The chronograph hands will return to their Zero positions.
CHRONOGRAPH RESET (INCL: AFTER REPLACING BATTERY )
This procedure should be performed when the chronograph second hand does not return to the Zero position.
- Pull the crown out to the 2nd click position
- Press the button “A” to set the chronograph second hand to the Zero position (The chronograph hand can be advanced rapidly by continuously pressing button “A”)
- Once the hands are set at Zero position, reset the time and return the crown to its normal position.
