Product Usage Instructions

Support Structure:
Secure the mounting bracket to a ceiling joist or a suitable piece of timber inserted between the ceiling joists. The mounting bracket should be attached with four wood screws.

Standard Mounting Style:
Use standard mounting or low-profile mounting to hang the fan from a flat ceiling. The fan should be connected to a ceiling outlet box (required).

Angled Mounting Style:
Use angled mounting to hang the fan from a vaulted or angled ceiling. For angled ceilings, point the mounting bracket opening toward the peak.

Installation Steps:

Blade and Bottom Cover Installation:

1. Align the blade screw through the blade holder ring and blade with the motor assembly’s hole. Tighten 2 screws halfway. After installing all 3 blades, tighten 6 screws firmly.
2. Screw the bottom cover into the motor shaft.

Downrod, Canopy & Coupling Cover Installation:

1. Hang the fan motor assembly on the mounting bracket, ensuring the ball joint locating the groove aligns with the notch on the mounting.
2. Secure the downrod screw and cover the coupler with the upper cover.

Remote Controller Receiver Unit Installation:

1. Slide the remote controller receiver unit into the mounting bracket.
2. Wire-in the remote controller receiver unit using the terminal block on the mounting bracket. The terminal block must be used between the receiver output wire and the motor light wires.
3. Use the terminal block provided separately along with the remote controller pack to connect between the supply wire.

SAFETY WARNING

2. This fan must be installed by a licensed and qualified electrician.

HOW TO CHOOSE A PROPER LOCATION FOR THE CEILING FAN

1. According to safety regulations, the lowest point of the fan blade must be at least 2.1 meters (7 feet) from the floor.
2. For fan installed enclosed outdoors, the fan must be installed at least l .5m from the perimeter of the roof/ eaves of the enclosure to protect the product from direct or indirect rainwater or sunlight.
3. The chosen location for the fan must not allow the rotating blades to come into contact with any object.
4. Please check carefully and make sure that ceiling joists are strong enough and of adequate size to support the weight of about 35kg.
5. To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury, please make sure that the fan mounting bracket is directly supported from the building structure. Do not mount to an outlet box.
6. The mounting plate must be firmly screwed to a load-bearing building structure eg. a concrete must be securely nailed or screwed between the beams
7. Attach fan blades after the fan motor housing is installed and properly secured. Keep the fan motor and fan blades in the original package until it is ready to be installed.
8. Check and confirm, after the fan is completely installed, that all connections are proper and secure to prevent the fan from falling or causing property damages or personal injury.
9. Take care not to bend or damage the motor Drive Shaft or Fan Blades when handling or installing them. If such a defect is noticed, please contact Customer Service before installation of the ceiling fan.
10. Fan, light kit and mounting plate must be earthed.
11. Use of an unapproved remote control voids the warranty. Only use our remote control.
12. Do not remote the fan from the ceiling after installation.
13. Make sure electricity is turned off at the main power box before commencing work. Turn off the power by removing a fuse or turning off the circuit breaker before installing the fan and replacing led light.

HOW TO CHOOSE A PROPER LOCATION FOR THE CEILING FAN

• Use of unapproved remote control voids the warranty. Therefore do not control the operation of this fan from any controller that is not approved by our fan.
• Do not use solid state controllers.

FAN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

• Make sure electricity is turned off at the main power box before commencing work. Turn off the power by removing fuse or turning off circuit breaker before installing the fan and replacing the lamps.
• The lowest point on the fan blade must be at least 2.1 (7ft) metres from the floor.
• Make sure that ceiling joists are strong enough and of adequate size to support the weight of the tan of about 35kg.

Install the blade and bottom cover

1. Aign the blade screw through blade holder ring and blade with motor assembly’s hole, tighten 2 screws halfway, after install all 3 blades then tighten 6 screws firmly.
2. Screw the bottom cover into the motor shaft.

Downrod, Canopy & Coupling cover installation

1. Select right downrod according to the height of ceiling;
2. This fan attach 5 &10 inches downrod, If it doesn’t fit for you, please contact our company to purchase other size;
3. Take off the locking pin, bolt and two downrod screws from coupler;
4. Let the downrod across the canopy and coupling cover in right direction, then put the power cord through downrod;
5. Put the downrod into coupler; insert the bolt and locking pin. Lock the downrod screw and cover the coupler with upper cover.

Fan mounting

1. Hang the fan motor assembly on the mounting bracket, ensure the ball joint locating the groove aligns with the notch on the mounting.
2. Slide the remote controller receiver unit into the mounting bracket as shown in the figure as below.
3. Wire-in the remote controller receiver unit as show in figure below, terminal block on the mounting bracket must be used between the receiver output wire and the motor light wires, terminal block provided separately along with the remote controller pack must be used to connect between the supply wire.

FAN OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Short press to turn OFF the.Fan.
   Long press 3 seconds for matching code.

2. Turn on the natural wind

3. Set the Fan forward or reverse.

4. Turn ON the Fan and choose Fan’s speed

5. Setting the timer of the fan 1H/2H/4H

6. BATTERY: 1.5V x 2 AAALR03.

Remark: According to the different models, it will has a little different, please in kind prevail.

KINDLY REMINDERS:

1. Press and hold the transmitter’s Pair code “Lamp ON/OFF” while the receiver is powering on within 5 seconds. After hearing “DIDI” for three long rings, the learning code pairing is successful and can work normally. If not, please turn off the power and restart the above operation. (Note: Do not accept learning code pairing after powering for more than 5 seconds.)
2. When the emitter cannot control the receiver, please check the battery switch touching normally or not, correct the positive and negative, full or empty of the power.
3. Low voltage of battery will affect the sensitivity of the emitter and the signal reception accordingly (the indicated light will flash out its warning when the battery get low voltage), must replace if the battery is getting low voltage.
4. Please take out the battery from the emitter when leaving unused for long time.
5. When installing the fan, the fan ceiling cover doesn’t press the antenna(or other wire), it is easy to breakdown the wire and short-circuited.
6. Supporting 20W lighting power at maximum.

• NOTE 1: A beep will be heard when a function is activated.
• NOTE 2: The motor does not react instantaneously to changes made by the handset. Be patient and allow the motor to process the instruction when changing functions.
• NOTE 3: The remote control includes a memory function. this function records the status when power has been disconnected to allow resumption when power is restored.
• NOTE 4: Remove the battery from the transmitter handset when left unused for extended periods.
• NOTE 5: To change the direction of rotation for S/W function the fan needs to be turned OFF & ON for setting to take effect.
• NOTE 6: Only 1 remote can be paired with a given fan at any time.
• NOTE 7: If the power supply is turned OFF and back ON the light will come on automatically, use the remote to turn the light OFF.

PAIRING MORE THAN ONE FAN:
when more than 1 fan is installed e.g. FAN A & FAN B, and pairing is required each fan needs to be paired separately. Follow the steps given below to pair the fans:

1. To pair turn the power ON to one fan only e.g. FAN A and within 30 seconds of turning ON the power to the fan “A”, press and hold the FAN ON/OFF button on the transmitter “A” for 5 seconds, When a long beep is heard the fan is paired.
2. Turn OFF the supply to FAN “A” which is paired, and turn ON the supply to the other fan, FAN “B”, repeat steps C & D to pair it, to transmitter “B”

INFORMATION FOR LICENSED ELECTRICIANS AND FAN OWNERS

Please read fault finder before calling customer service centre.

• Fan Will Not Start
  • a) Check that mains circuit breakers are in the ON position.
  • b) Check that isolation wall switch is in the ON position.
  • c) Check that batteries in the remote handset (if any) are in good condition.
  • d) Carry out and complete remote transmitter and receiver pairing process.
  • e) Check that live, neutral, ground and light (if any) wires from isolation wall switch, remote receiver (if any) through to fan are all wired correctly in accordance with wiring diagram.
  • f) Check that all wire connections at wall switch, wire connector and/ or terminal block are secured (not loosened).
• Fan Sounds Noisy
  • a) Fully tighten light fitting (version with light).
  • b) Re-tighten all screws on fan blades (do not over-tighten).
  • c) Re-tighten all screws in the hanging bracket and covering plate.
• Mechanical Noise
  • a) Let the tan run for about 8 hours for settling in period.
• Fan Turns But Does Not Move Much Air
  • a) The fan may be running in reverse (for fans with reverse running option).
  • b) The distance trom the ceiling to the fan blades is too small.
  • c) The room may contain items that obstruct the air flow.
  • a) The fan may be too small for the size of the room.

IMPORTANT FACTS

• All electric motors, including fan motors make some noise and may feel hot to touch, this is not a fault. Ceiling fans tend to move during operation as they are not generally rigid-mounted. Rigid mounted ceiling fans generate excessive vibration and stress on their mountings.
• Movement of a couple of centimeters is quite normal and does not suggest the fan will fall down.
• Please note – all ceiling fans are not the same, even in the same model some may move more or less that others.
• Fan lights can rattle, if they are not supplied with the fan. They are not covered by warranty.

Fan Operation

• A ceiling fan is an environmentally smart choice when it comes to cooling as well as helping to warm your room. You should see a reduction in both cooling and heating costs by regular use of your fans. Do not hesitate to use your fans in both summer and winter months.
• In summer fans should be set to spin in anti clockwise direction blowing down cool breeze.
• In winter, fan should be set to spin in clockwise direction so that an upward airflow will push warm air off the ceiling and circulate it downwards into the living areas. In winter months use the tan on a lower speed than in summer.

Normal Wear And Tear
Threaded components working slightly loose, or blade carriers becoming slightly bent due to vigorous cleaning or bumping can cause extra wobble and noise. This is not covered under warranty, but a little care and maintenance can reduce or prevent this problem.

Night Noises
This is the biggest cause of service calls, which are outside the manufacturer’s warranty. If a fan has a fault it will be noticeable at all times. Naturally when everything is quiet at night you will be more inclined to hear small noises, which may not be noticeable at other times. Even slight signals super imposed in your electricity supply for off peak hot water control may cause a change in the fan motor noise. This is normal.

HOW TO USE BALANCING KITS

NOTE: CEILING FANS TEND TO MOVE DURING OPERATION DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE MOUNTED ON A RUBBER CROMMET. IF THE FAN WAS MOUNTED RIGIDLY TO THE CEILING, IT WOULD CAUSE EXCESS VIBRATION, MOVEMENT OF A FEW CENTIMETERS IS QUITE ACCEPTABLE AND DOES NOT SUGGEST ANY PROBLEMS
TO REDUCE FAN WOBBLE: PLEASE CHECK THAT ALL SCREWS WHICH SECURE THE MOUNTING BRACKET AND DOWNROD ARE SECURE

BALANCING A WOBBLING CEILING FAN
For your convenience, a balancing kit is included: please follow this procedure when balancing the fan:

1. Check that all blades and blade arm screws are secure.
2. Most fan wobbling problems result from blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on the ceiling above one fan blade’s tip. Measure this distance. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement. Repeat for each blade.The distance deviation should be equal with in 1/8″ (0.32cm).
3. Use the enclosed blade balancing kit if the blade wobbling is still noticeable.
4. If the blade wobble is still noticeable, interchanging two adjacent (side-by-side) blades can redistribute the weight and possibly result in smooth operation.

WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, DO NOT BEND THE BLADE ARM WHILE INSTALLING, BALANCING THE BLADES, OR CLEANING THE FAN. DO NOT INSERT OBJECTS BETWEEN ROTATING FAN BLADES

NOISE
It’s normal to hear small occasional noises when in quiet night or days. Please allow a 24-hour “breaking-in” period, most noises of a new fan disappear during the time.
